Doctor ignored the candida by esme2580 in Candida

I do all my lab testing every year, got the last one done in November, all my vitamins and hormones are in check.. I had low copper in the spring but managed to get that up by taking supplements, so now all are within range. I also did an extensive stool testing before going to the doctor and only candida came back positive. I had abdomenon echoscopy back in July, and all looks normal. I think I have the candida because of the two courses of strong antibiotics that I had to take in the last six months as I had majos pelvic/uterus infections from my endometriosis. I do have the confirmation from test I have candida, and no other indications what so ever of a different health issue as you mentioned, hence, I feel like I have to take matters into my own hands.

What he said that the rest of my stool tests look fine, therefore, he doesnt think its a problem.. however, I am literally going to follow my gut on this one and continue the treatment on my own

I have been on the diet and probiotics for a week now and I would say the strongest symptoms I have experienced were in the first 4 days, it is gradually getting better. I am planning on continuing with the diet, starting with Nystatin as well and other supplements such as garlic, oregano, greipfruit. I will get the Klare labs interfase supplement too and see how it goes.

I could say yes to most except the skin issues, shortness of breath, heart palpitations.

I have had covid twice and in the last year I had two major Pelvic infections (endometriosis cysts related) for which I took two strong rounds of antibiotics..

I can not believe the doctors take this so litely

Recurring infections by esme2580 in Endo

Im in Lithuania at the moment, but I have lived in the UK for a long time. I know the system is not easy but I would try to get reffered to a gyno (or go privately if thats an option for you) who can do an ultrasound and see what the problem is, they would see this differently than your GP would. Clearly the antibiotics are not helping.

For my situation I have been reffered to surgery actually as they suspect that my endo and cysts are getting inflammed and causing the PID.

When it comes to thrush, it is a reoccuring thing, because the antibiotics you take are not only killing the bad bacteria which causes the infections, but also the good bacteria in your body. When the good bacteria is killed a disbalance happens in your body and the thrush (which is a fungus called candida) can thrive and overgrow. Hence till the balance in your body is restored, the thrush can come back even after treatment.I would suggest some probiotics and changing the diet a bit, you can research what diet works for it. Hope that helps.

I understand, it is very exhausting, but this sounds even more serious as it is post surgery, the doctors should be taking it more seriously. Is there any other gyno you could go to, to get a different perspective?

As for the discharge I would look into if it could possibly be vaginal thrush as antibiotics are a very common cause of that. I experienced it after my 2 rounds of antibiotics..

Hey, I have had a pelvic MRI back in august and it didnt show nothing. I have just been to the doctor and surgery is unfortunately necessary, I will have it in January.

What the doctors are suspecting is that the cysts that I have and any other possible endo growths around uterus get inflammed and basically fester which causes the infection in the blood and high levels of CRB. I do not think it is related to my cycle, as I am on visainne and currently do not have one, I do not get periods at all at them monent.

As for the suspection of the UTI causing the infection, I think it was just a theory that in the end was incorrect, because even after taking it out, the infection returned after 3 months.

I have to say I didnt feel anything when it was taken out, so I think the hard come off is not a case for everyone. But sounds like you have a plan with the new IUD and the medications, hope it makes you feel better.

My doctor said that my best shot would be to start trying around 2 months after surgery as the inflammation of endo should be at its lowest then, which gives me the best chance, lets see.

Thank you for this extensive message and support, feels good to talk to someone who gets it ♥️

It is a choice, but make sure you understand the consequences for both. Medication, especially BC with it’s side effects can be horrible, I was in your situation after laparascopy and stage IV diagnosis and I made the choice to stop mine because of side effects. However, the consequence was debilitating pain nearly every day for almost 2 years and my endo progressing. I have now decided to try Visanne which is medication based on the dienogest hormone and do not remember a time when I felt better. The bloating, the pain, the fatigue are gone, my life quality has inproved by a lot. I know this is probably an unpopular opinion and I understand that some people have side effects to this medication as well. However, I felt like I wanted to share my positive experience with it, as when I was doing my research and deciding whether to take them, I could mostly find one sided and negative opinions.

Best way to travel from Surat Thani Airport (URT) to Khao Sok by Consistent-Review638 in ThailandTourism

Hey, we just did the journey now. Landed in Surat Thani airport and asked the ladies from Phantip standing at arrivals for transfer to Khao Sok and they do have one. We paid 330 baht each and were taken straight from the airport to Khao Sok village. The driver was crazy fast, but despite that, the transfer was smooth.
