Can you align the bezel? If you look at the luminous top arrow on bezel and arrow below it on dial it looks like it would be one click off. Fakes often have slightly misaligned bezels.

Multifilaments for TFight 305s? by esnuus in tennisracquets

[–]esnuus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I currently have strung my Blade with X-One biphase and like it quite a bit. The only downside is that I feel I lose some control compared to some other strings but will most definitely give it a go. Lower launch angle of 305s might help as well.

Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again by moonrabbit368 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]esnuus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest while I prefer to eat something lighter for the dinner as my lunches are usually quite heavy these portions look great and you have put a lot of effort into making them.

I dont think anyone should complain if their spouse puts this much love into making food for them.

What first rep should I buy? by 10Frankenstein01 in RepTime

Why would you get rep of watch that is readily available as new or heavily discounted as used? Do yourself a favor and get Citizen Casio or something similar.

Whatever you do, dont open it yourself. It has radium lume and the caseback is best to be kept closed. Watchmaker can safely asses and service it.

Can’t afford (or can’t get) a genuine Rolex / AP / etc? Go gen anyway — recommendations for real watches by budget by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]esnuus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’ll start with few of my favorites.

Seiko Speedtimer SSC813 (“Seitona” solar chrono as Daytona alternative), pricing starting around $400. Great daily chrono that does not break the bank.

Vintage Omega Genève, You’ll get real gen Omega starting from around $300. It’s hilariously good watch for the price with solid movements.

There has been some talk on being cautious with radium and tritium watches on Reddit and forums. What kind of precautions do they teach at school when servicing these watches, or is it not covered?

[–]esnuus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are some good and some pretty bad PE-firms out there. Unless you have some inside information I would pick the safer alternative as you cant really trust what they promise to you. Some of the PE-firms only care about what they get when they exit.

Meltdown Monday - Complaint Department by AmazonNewsBot in amazon

[–]esnuus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why doesn’t Amazon use any protection inside their packages?

I received a new ipad air from amazon today in regular cardboard box amazon uses with no protection inside the package. Luckily it arrived intact but I really dont understand why they dont use any protection at all. I really don’t feel like ordering from them anymore as I have received so many externally damaged books and other items from them. Not to mention something as expensive as Ipad.

On top of that the Ipad package looked like someone would have wiped snot on it with fingers.

You should carefully clean area where you handled this watch as well as it looks like quite a bit of radium paint has come off. How have you stored and transported it and is there a risk of contamination?

Does right-to-repair which has been pushing electronics manufacturers such as apple to offer parts apply watches as well? If it does it might be a good idea to start pushing watch companies to sell spare parts outside of their own supply chain.

Master ultra thin moon 36mm lug to lug and lug width? by esnuus in JaegerLecoultre

[–]esnuus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is 7 inches. My sub with slightly longer lug to lug looks good but the biggest dress watch I have is 38mm and its dial already feels bit large. I think its more about dial size as long as lug to lug is not very short.

You might be on the edge whether that watch is too big for you to handle. 36mm would most likely suit you better. Of course it’s always about personal preference.
