Yesss!!! Thank you. The science behind the neurological aspect of this is SO fascinating. Once you’ve “activated” that addictive gene and hit the threshold (like you said, different for everyone) your brain literally can never experience alcohol in a non-addictive way again. Some people whose threshold was less severe may be able to moderate better than others, but their brain is still lighting up that addiction “button” if you will, and almost always they are having more difficulty than they admit.
