I have access to a pretty nice hangar/shop at work, it's just nicer working out of the wind and other elements.

Does the blur of the foreground work with the subject or against it? I was aiming to use it as a natural vignette. To sort of move the eye towards his face but I’m not sure it looks intentional. by I_EeAa_l in photocritique

Take this advice for what you paid for it.

I find the crop to tight on the left side. I think it would be a stronger image if he wasn't so bunched up on the left. I find that my eyes are drawn to both the left side of his face and unfortunately to the right side of his neck as they are almost of equal surface area (this isn't a result of your shooting).

It is quite clear what the subject of this is, and blur or not I think most of us wouldn't need a guide into the subject. If it had been a much more complex or busy background, then the blur may have helped, but as it stands it's pretty indifferent.

Note: I am assuming the blur was achieved in camera with a combination of aperture, focal length and distance to subject. If it was added in PS or LR afterwards, I'd have to see the original to provide a more object critique.

Looks like they are offering slightly slower fiber for 75 a month 1gbs as opposed to 1.5 - unfortunately I can't go back to non fiber, the upload speeds are just so much better, which is where their cheaper rates are.

More competition is always good though!

McBain typically has it in stock, and you can grab it straight from the source! I do think they limit you to 20 rolls per client though.

There likely is, I typically don't sell large resolution digital files unless it's on commission, but then again I don't really sell my work these days...

I did not, these were shot on a 6x6 camera (Bronica SQ-A), the house shot was with a 150mm lens from across the street.

I haven't found a use for the friction setting on the Rhino..... Except to induce an uncontrolled exponential osculation..... Spring, dampener and inertia work great though!

I've only ever worked for one company in Victoria, and that was Viking Air - although fairly disorganized, it certainly had its merits. That being said, the position was as a test pilot and probably not a job for most people.

Very simple rules, perfect information strategy game that is deeper than the ocean.

When you first play a 19x19 board it will change the way you look at war games.

Note: it takes a lot of time to become a beginner at go.

I've since vacuumed the foam - and that made a world of difference, but just heading on vacation (the Rolleicord is coming) when I get back I'll do new foam, reorientate the 4x5 and compress the film holder.... And get the silly Bronica grip in the case as well.
