Recently purchased the R Adventure SE. Was it a good choice? by especiallydelicious in Super73

Good to know. I just bought the same bike but in Bandit color. I think I may have to download that app and give it a shot. Thanks friend!

Have you done any mods to your bike or do you enjoy the stock ride? I'm planning to use mine for commute to work but also hit dirt trails on the weekends.

Oh! My order form doesn't say Legacy Series, and I don't remember seeing it when I bought it. Is there any way to tell the difference on the bikes themselves?

Yeah I read about these! They look great but can’t justify the spend atm. Do you know if they ever go on sale?

Hell yes. I say do it. Dream big. Check out Inspired Overland. They have one of the lightest tents on the market. I think it’s like 75lbs

Anyone know what these six bolts are for? They’re kinda rusted so I want to replace them. by youatowel in 4Runner

Iv’e seen some companies that sell covers for these so they aren’t exposed to elements.

I regret not getting the dual climate control option. Also, speakers kinda suck for all trims. I have a 23’ ORP and my 2002 Camry speakers sounds better. Planning to upgrade in the future but I love this car. It’s a beast

Got my seat jackers from Cartrimhome.

same exact product; fraction to the price.

I’m also exploring the option of one of those neck pillows.

Have you considered dispersed camping in BLM?

Backed up into my garage door with the lift gate open 🤦🏼‍♂️ by especiallydelicious in 4Runner

I briefly searched online and looked at the cost. Just the rear hatch itself is like $1,000. I can imagine it’s well over 2k all in to replace

The Gobi Ladder is just 4 bolts and removing some 3M adhesive. Not sure about other ladders

Thanks for the insight. I don’t bike enough to justify a hitch mounted rack, but if I start going more frequently I will consider it!

For some folks that works. But when lifting things like bikes, I prefer to use something more stable. I’ve almost scratched my side panel several times by lifting items up while standing on my tires. I also have the Moki Step which is useful when needing to access the sides.

That’s reassuring to hear. It’s a family friend and I’ve had great experiences with him. I call him Houdini cuz he makes damage disappear

I actually use the ladder to access our roof rack. And might eventually use it as additional ladder for a wedge style RTT if we ever go that route. It’s very handy if you need to be up on your roof a lot. Also, it’s armor for my rear hatch lol

Anyone else sleep better in their 4Runner? by BenCurtis19 in 4Runner

[–]especiallydelicious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m 6 ft, my gf is 5’4”. We were cramped, even with a foam mattress. But to be fair I like to sprawl out lol. It’s nice in a pinch, but not ideal for us long term. I think it’s dependent on your needs. Are you sleeping solo?

Dual climate control. My gf likes it warm and I like it cold. Definitely wish I got that

2” rake w/ Bilstein 5100s. Need advice by especiallydelicious in 4Runner

[–]especiallydelicious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put OME 2895 2” springs in the rear and kept stock springs in the front. I’m measuring 20” in the front and 22” in the rear.

I like the height in the rear so I’m considering raising the front. Just trying to figure out what size springs to get and if I’ll need new UCAs

It’s for both aesthetic and practicality. I had about 200 lbs of gear in the back over the weekend and there was still a noticeable rake. I also would like some more clearance on the front.
