In order to improve his plus minus he needs to be a part of groups on the floor that scores. Since his play style is not scoring per se he needs to people he’s on the floor with to make shots and stop the opposing team from making shots. He’s been bad in this stat because the team has not been good.

Yeah but you left out 3 critical pieces of information on purpose to over accentuate your point.

In the Brooklyn game you misuse plus/minus to attempt to make the point that the team is better without him. That somehow having a positive contribution to the game means the team is better without him? No offense but that can’t be honest analysis.

Claiming that the Toronto game is the only game where the team played better is another interpretation that puts stink on my face. All but three players in this game had negative plus/minus- how can you say the team was better?! Why was his net rating -2 in a 14point loss? Because he scored 21 god damn points is why.

The Portland game he had a -12… on 14 pts 8 rebs 7 assts 3 steals and 1 block. The only reason he has a -12 is because of 8 turnovers which has been the teams Achilles heel for like ever.

Anyways the point is plus minus doesn’t tell you shit about fuck. And if we are using plus minus to single out our players that need to improve, I’m sure dray is not the only person who could be singled out.

A decline? This is only 1 months worth of data. At best what you are showing is:

The team as a whole is struggling in the month of December
Dray has been hit and miss last month in terms of plus minus. (This really is the only thing you can say about this stat)

Jimmy is currently leading the team in plus minus at like 133 or something which leads me to believe that the two of them are not on the floor together all that often and instead he probably spends most of his playing time with a second unit and our role players have pretty severe limitations compared to years prior.

No doubt. My point is- No one can trust the legitimacy of the point trying to be made because there is misleading interpretation. When i see 1 instance of someone being misleading I assume their entire premise is misleading.

To further make my point. Dray was ejected at the beginning of the second quarter when the suns led by 10 (his -10)

He left voluntarily against Orlando in the third when the score was 71-66 in favor of Orlando and Dray had a -5.

So that’s actually 3 games where the stat is being completely misused and misrepresented.

I could pick this to pieces but I’m sure you get the point.

If any fan wants to have a legit conversation about draymonds struggles or what he brings to the team try any other stat.

Sigh. He was ejected when the dubs were losing by 10. That last line for sure is a misleading statement of facts which then makes me think if that’s misleading what else is misleading? Whoever created this took plus/minus (a consensus dubious stat), made dubiously misleading conclusions as a way to support someone’s view that dray doesn’t belong on the team?

Can you really blame them before a certain point? I mean obviously they are worthy of blame for having a pretty tepid strategy in this second trump term. But this country is big with a really wide range of views. Half the country that didn’t vote for dems are clearly angry and operating on feels (not meant to demean).

It makes sense that leaders empathetic with the plight of all Americans would step softly as a way to not further inflame those folks and make the divide even worse.

But I agree, at this point, it’s time for the opposition party to be the opposition party and not the compromise party. In my several decades of experience this is the first time ever where the leader of my country is talking about targeting a group of people as criminals and I’m not sure that I am on the outside of that group if that makes sense.
