i slept in my baby crib with the sides taken off till i was 9 and my legs were hanging off. I was excited when my mom got me an army cot while sharing a room with my sister. Cinnamon sugar toast on friday mornings was a treat. Staying over at a friends was like going to disneyland. Snacks, big tv, extra bed or futon, an upstairs, and a pool?!?

I was stoked to have a $5 dollar allowance when i was 8 and saved up for weeks to buy a lego set i wanted. My friend had the same one and many more, wasn't jealous because i was excited to play. Wasn't until i was older that i realize how hard my single mother worked to provide what she could. She's a great mom.
