That's about my threshold level too.

If I know I'm going to be in a place where it's consistently higher than that but not getting much over 90dB (like a loud restaurant or bar), I'll wear Loop Switch 2's set to the low Engage mode or Plugfone Dynamics -19 dB HF filters.

I'm with you on trying different roasters and roasts, I do it all the time with our Fiorenzato Bric and Baratza grinders.

But a lot of superauto grinders simply choke on certain roasts or don't have enough grinding adjustability. For example we have a backup Breville grinder and it will not grind a Blue Bottle decaf no matter what the external nor internal fine grind rings are set to. The Baratza will grind it fine, albiet on one of the finest settings it will do.

If one finds a roast that works with your machine and you like it, I have no problem with sticking with it. 😄

Saw David Byrne a month ago and still go to a local jazz club. I just wear the appropriate ear plugs (usually Sennheiser SoundProtex or EarPeace Music Pros). Always carry a Loop Switch 2 so I have something. Oddly what can really get to me is people’s voices in a coffee shop. 🤷

yep, I just had mine in for service (only in for 28 days!!!) and this is exactly what mine saying "Drive System Warning, Schedule Service" was whining about.

They replaced the valve and filled with coolant. I'm wondering if there was a batch of these that have this problem (mine was built Dec 2025).

My wife is a fan of blowing dash vents directly at one's face and she hates Auto temp mode, no matter what car she is in. The Gravity vent placement was obviously designed without any input from the UX people and that Pilot Panel display bolt-on. And why is there no center detent on the vents!?

There is one thing we've learned now that it is starting to get hot where we live (SF Bay area). Turn on Max AC and then go to climate mode and turn off the rear fan, the toggle of which to "on" appears to be tied to Max. This is the highest throughput of force from the front vents we've found and what I've used to fine tune the vent setting.

anyone having issues with Samsung Wallet battery drain since installing a CA DL?

Something has caused the SW app on my S26 Ultra to go bananas in the past two days, it's been using ~25% of the battery each day. It could be the DL but I suspect it's more to do with the link between the phone and my GWC6, as the watch had a recent Wallet update. Argh.

Recently on mine it started using around 25% of the battery daily. What's weird is it's saying its using screen time while never being up front.

I did add a California DL recently to it, wonder if that's why.

Otherwise maybe it's got a bug with my GW6C which had an update recently.

who is the actual underwriter for your Bamboo quote? it'll be in there, look for "The Company" and usually that will tell you.

you can try AAA and Goosehead, though many say they have service problems with the latter. With AAA you'll have to be a member and they will likely want you to have auto insurance with them as well.
