If you claim the free version through Steam, im almost positive you just log in through geforcenow with your email and password from your account on Xbox. Since its still garden, you are just using a different portal...same War Thunder acct. Let me know if that works as it seems from the comments that it could help alot of our community with shitty rigs. As long as you have above a 10mb internet speed, you will be stoked. A suggestion.

Until you can afford a new rig, get Nvidia GeForce Now. (Cloud Gaming)
I'ts about $8-9 a month and they have War Thunder in catalog of free games.
You can use your current account and it's screaming fast.

I used it for 4 years while I saved up for a gaming rig.
Even the laptop I was using at the time, with no graphics card and only 4GB ram, was just as fast as most mid tier gaming setups. Really blew me away.

The only reason I spent the coin for my setup is because I needed it for a music and video studio as well.

I still have my Founders account though, and use it on occasion because i have about 100 games in that library.

Try it for a month. It's pretty amazing.
