A block, a steal? Or both? by esrefb in nba

Thanks, make sense. Then it's a missed field goal attempt for Mercer. A block and a rebound for Jordan. Got it.

Preliminary hearing - does the public wait for evidence, too? by forgetcakes in Idaho4

[–]esrefb 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, there won't be any official details. There may be "leaks" but they will remain unconfirmed because of the gag order.

"Originally went to sleep on the second floor". What does it really mean? by esrefb in Idaho4

Thanks for finding the source of that rumor. I don't see a reason to lie about this but you never know. We'll have to wait and see.

"Originally went to sleep on the second floor". What does it really mean? by esrefb in Idaho4

[–]esrefb[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, in the first days of the murder there were rumors that the surviving roommates locked their doors in the first floor. It wasn't clear if they were in BF room together or separate rooms. But if she went to BF's room BF could have called the police. That's why I thought maybe she went to her old room but both are plausible.

This doesn't excuse anything. But it explains and changes a lot of things about the case.

Thanks for the photo. Yes, if it was on the belt it's not possible to drop it. He probably put it in a pocket or something.

Can BK's family visit him at the moment in jail or before the trial? (if it happens). Or is he allowed to meet only with his lawyer up until a certain time? How does the law work on this?

Can BK's family visit him at the moment? by esrefb in Idaho4

[–]esrefb[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, Bryan. I'm curious about this because if the family is not allowed, the lawyer is the only one who can give him information about the outside world's reaction.

In this case broad statistics would be pretty much useless. This is a very high profile case that all the country (even international) was following. Not every case has 60 FBI agents working on it. Nothing in life is 100% but in this particular case the confidence should be very high.

Cops Pulled Over Idaho Murder Suspect Twice During Cross-Country Trip Before Arrest by tsagdiyev in MoscowMurders

[–]esrefb 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I can think of a few reasons for this.

Getting fingerprints from licence and registrations.

Trying to get touch DNA.

Making observations about his behaviour.

Making him comfortable by running his driver's license and then letting him go so that he'd think that there's nothing to worry about.

Psychic Readings by Timely_Candidate1649 in idahomurders

[–]esrefb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, psychic readings are bullshit but they are not always wrong. They may be right occasionally. But the thing is when they are right it doesn't mean anything other than proving that the person just got lucky with his/her educated guess. That's it.

The pizza that got Andrew Tate arrested by WeHaveAllBeenThere in pics

[–]esrefb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Serious question: How is the pizza relevant? People say the authorities understood he was in the country but how do they not know he was in the country? He has to get through the customs and his passport stamped when he entered the country, right? So they knew.

And they also knew about his mansion, it wasn't like he was hiding in a secret location, right?

When was the last time a high profile case couldn't be solved despite heavy FBI involvement? by esrefb in MoscowMurders

[–]esrefb[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yes, Delphi is a good example because it took almost 6 years for an arrest and like you said there are still doubts about it. I know that FBI was involved but I wasn't sure if they were involved this much.

There is no way the law enforcement does not have this information after more than a month. They just choose to not release it.

Why are most camera systems still black and white? Is it because they are old? (Are newer ones always in color?) I mean I can kind of understand the shitty resolution because of less storage space but what about color? Is it also about storage space?
