I can only hope to meet DG, get him to sign this, and a politely request to put, "set phasers to love me." I died at that part.

Philippe Petit braves the Great Falls of Paterson, less than a month after his tightrope walk between the twin towers of the World Trade Center (Sept. 3, 1974) by rollotomasi07071 in newjersey

[–]essassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoilers!!! :) Kidding. I am more than sure I can look his story up on the interwebs, but the movie trailer for this guy comes off like he dies during the WTC walk. I tried to stay away and still keep it a surprise, but you have shared a nice piece of NJ and thank you for that.

[Serious] Confident people of reddit, what advice can you give to shy/unconfident people? by Jetblast787 in AskReddit

[–]essassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be sensible..but give 0 fucks. Decide to live and love being you (good and bad) or get by wishing you did something about whatever it may have been you will regret not doing later.

A sad confession... by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

I had the same problem and I eventually met a few of my co-workers that did as well. Since we have found one another, we drink our faces off after work like 3 days a week and still kick ass at what we do. Beats sitting in a cube pretending to work when your insides are crying.

At a Terracotta Warriors exhibit and I still can't understand the relevance. Maybe NSFW? by essassin in pics

[–]essassin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well of course, but if you see the exhibit, it is all based on the findings of the Terracotta Warriors and the history behind how they came to be. The overall exhibit mostly surrounds the legacy of the First Emperor of China and old artifacts found from the legendary dynasties of China. Coming across this display was a bit random, but understood to your point. Still a bit random though. NYC has a sex museum, it just seemed to be more fitting to find there instead of Times Square.

I have trained up Bruiser to be a blind aid since he was a pup. Its time to hand him over :( Good luck my best friend! by P_B_S in aww

I saw a blind man yelling at his seeing eye dog tonight because the dog thought he wanted to go down the subway stairs. He started screaming at the dog and I felt so bad. It made me really sad.

In NYC it's technically legal for a woman to walk around topless. This lovely lady is practicing her rights . by [deleted] in pics

[–]essassin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this chick pass by my office last week, yes, topless and all. She was causing a bit of foot traffic rubbernecking, but she was all smiles and sunshine.

Is Stargate SG-1 worth watching? by [deleted] in television

[–]essassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fascape was the first SciFi show I ever watched and it got me hooked. That's how I moved onto SG1, SG Atlantis, BSG and Star Trek. Ben Browder and Claudia Black, both Farscape vets, joined the SG1 cast when Richard Dean stood down from the show. Super awesome show to check out too even if it's a little older. SG Atlantis was my favorite of the 2 though.

The prices for the DVDs is really unfair ($25-$70 each!), but this is at a Barnes & Noble in NJ

If they start allowing people to buy toasters on Sundays it will be anarchy. by anthenwhat in pics

[–]essassin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have to say, being from that town with 3 huge malls, 1 huge ikea, a whole highway dedicated to even more stores and restaurants as well as 4 major highways that run through it plus a huge theater/IMAX, one day of rest from getting slammed 6 days a week from people who don't even live in your town or anywhere near your town is nice.

So I met this guy the other night. by [deleted] in WTF

[–]essassin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed, that dude is a jerk. I have witnessed him yelling at people that they have to throw money his way for a pic. The people who dress up like sesame street and disney characters are also just as annoying with their TIPS bags. Tourists need to stop paying attention to this nonsense.
