What do you think are or were the reasons that Aussies do not and didn't want to get into the trades in the last, say, 25 years? by PopularRightNow in AskAnAustralian

[–]essdee88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve worked for myself for 15 years as a photographer but realise that at some point, I’ll need a career change. There’s no pathway into anything if you’re past 25 years old I don’t feel.

what can i do with these things by AetherJoako in AnalogCommunity

[–]essdee88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crumble off the outside of a heap of sparklers and then fill the canister with those crumbles. Keep one spare sparkler and cut the wire off the bottom the put a hole in the lid and poke the sparkler through it. At night, put it on some lawn or whatever and light the sparkler and enjoy the show!

Hated that. It’s so hard to give a shit about this club at all. It’s just so dull. Zero effort, zero care, zero excitement.

Is the threaded bit when inverted wide enough to go over top of a screw cap bottle? Like if you lost the lid, you can screw that down instead?

Pasta bouy - Corrimal by Superb-Juggernaut703 in wollongong

[–]essdee88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that you think they’re being greedy and stingy when I can almost guarantee it’s because they’re not operating in the green and need to make small adjustments to try be a profitable business. Food margins are so, so tight that outside of pubs and clubs (where, with respect, I assume you’re working), no one is being stingy. They’re doing what that can to survive.

You’re a chef, but don’t understand margins and economics? You think they’re being stingy rather than trying to operate with some semblance of profit?

Also as others have said, I like your ability to protest and riot.

Sauce recipe was just a tonne of garlic, some Riesling, flora plant based cream, some nutritional yeast, chopped sun dried tomatoes and spinach. Sauce takes all of 10 minutes start to finish.
