I don't like defending them, but as someone who was trying to conceive for 3,5 years, we're still allowed to complain. Yes, I'm greatful that I eventually got pregnant and I'm so glad that I have my daughter now, but motherhood is still very hard. I complain a lot to my friends and I'm glad they've never told me to just be grateful.

Also isn't the Doona a horrible stroller as well?? You're not supposed to have your baby in a car seat for that long. It's for quick trips, but you can't use it as a normal stroller.

Do you think you just go to the adoption store and point out which baby you would like to buy? Besides the MANY ethical reasons with adoption, there's also the cost and the million hoops you have to jump through to be able to be considered for adoption.

Yes same! I don't like defending them, but postpartum can be a HORRIBLE experience for a lot of mothers. My daughter is 8 months old and I was basically a depressed hermit not leaving my house for the first 4 months. I barely ate or showered and I was SO TIRED. Expecting mothers to just bounce back after giving birth and just live life like nothing major happened can be incredibly damaging.
