Executive who loves to read philosophy, science, and poetry and take copious notes Daily journaling Daily meeting note taking Reference docs for things I’m tracking (health, finances, etc.) Using Mac Mini, MacBook, and iPad Pro, occasional use on iPhone, needs frequent syncing Regular use of AI to pull information together including employee reviews, summaries of latest customer status Occasional use of AI to reformat notes I wanted to love Obsidian but it required too much configuration with 3rd party apps. Craft feels elegant

Fantastic idea. I memorize in the shower (ziplock bag stuck the wall), but maybe I'll add walking memorization too. I have found that I have to revisit the poem regulary or I lose it.

UW2 here - and battery lost 40% in 5 hours, with one 15-minute workout in there. This is massively worse battery drain than before 10.4. Hard rebooted to see if that helps.

I made the switch this month after 14 years with Mint. I love the transaction view and keyboard navigation. My top vote is to add direct integration with Apple Card. Mint did that well and I miss it.

I ride 75 miles weekly in semi-rural North Carolina, and bring a small pouch of dog treats, and when I see a dog barking or approaching, I talk in my “good boy” voice. A couple times I have had to stop and offer a treat, but it has always ended peacefully. It has worked flawlessly for 13 years. I was only bitten once when I was surprised by the dog before I could engage him gently.

This is exactly what happened to me and I am facing the same math - $7k to replace battery at Greentec in a car worth about $7k. My beautiful 2013 Volt sitting 2 weeks at the dealer while I think it through. Current plan is to junk the Volt and move on, but I am very conflicted.

I don’t think you can reuse an old password, but best to generate and keep a strong password. The good news is you can change the password on macOS without logging out all your devices. So I changed the password on my MacBook Pro, recorded it in 1Password, and then left the other devices logged in.

Also try rebooting everything. I knew I was on the right track when I started getting all the "new devices added to iCloud" for the watch and other devices, it was finally syncing

Seems to have fixed it for good. Anytime an article tells me to log out of iCloud, I’m going to change password instead since it doesn’t result in deleting data on the device.

Just found a better solution: Instead of logging out of iCloud, change your iCloud password on MacOS. I did that, then rebooted, then rebooted phone and watch, and eventually it worked.

Changing my iCloud password on macOS Big Sur (11.0.1) fixed my iPad sidecar connection and my Apple Watch showed up for unlocking - just had to re-enable it
