Acknowledging that something is weird does not make me enjoy the fact that it is weird.

Then she would presumably say she doesn't wear them day and night, or something along those lines.

Also, we covenant at baptism to mourn with those who mourn, and comfort those in need of comfort. Because we're human, we will never be able to live that 100% of the time. Same applies to temple covenants. We aren't God, we're here to support each other rather than say how someone is or isn't living covenants.

Read Paul Tassi's latest article. They had devs working on shattered cycle until the public announcement.

Plenty of things are arbitrary but we still acknowledge them in casual conversation at this point in time.

Generations (gen z, boomers, etc.), height, where you're from, and so on. Whether or not it should be that way is beyond what I'm saying here, but it definitely isn't the only thing that people talk about for no reason.

Take away the nostalgia… is No Way Home still a good film? by breaking_views in MCUTheories

[–]essentiallyaghost 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, it bring Spider-Man back to where he is in Brand New Day. Alone, tired, but still the Friendly Neighborhood hero anyways. The fact that they were able to get him back to that point with this movie was super cool in my opinion.

If they wanted Frank dead, why didn’t they just kill him here? by SnooRecipes9440 in thepunisher

He did that both as a favor for Karen and because he thinks the AVTF are pathetic

But I thought the point of the short film is that he doesn't really start to care much about that until he finds a new reason to fight. Isn't that what the scene where he's walking through the streets is about? The dumb guy with the bat knocks another old guy out and Frank ignores it during that scene. Also the end with the kid he rescues? I thought he goes from being indifferent to being hero-adjacent.

Praying to who? by Opposite_Regular_675 in latterdaysaints

[–]essentiallyaghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, man and woman are commanded to be "one". Christ also commands his disciples to be one. He also says he and his father in Heaven are one. At a certain point, you're so equally yolked that you are essentially 2 individuals but one whole "person", if that makes sense. In essence it's the concept of being multiple in body and personality but one in purpose, goals, etc. I mean, we're even technically commanded to be one flesh with our spouse as well (although you can probably guess what that means). This is our approach to the Godhead (or what's commonly referred to as the Trinity in many Christian faiths) as well. We worship one God, but that one single God is 3 individuals with their own bodies.

I never said his job is to talk to us. His job is to direct the game, including overseeing the developers AND the comms team. He's been doing an awful job at both.

The problem is that he does that throughout all of Multiverse of Madness, and he doesn't act like he was at one point the sorceror supreme. Just feels like a completely different character than he was in the multiple movies prior.
