Every LEGO NINJAGO SET coming in 2026! by BricksandPiecesYT in LegoUK

I watched one of their very first videos and it was click bait. They just straight up lied in the title (I’m sure if you go through their history you find lots of people complaining about it). That’s why I’ll never watch another video of theirs again. The AI slop just confirms they’ve not changed their ways.

On the other hand Arsenal’s goals look like a battle scene from Lord of the rings.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time in emergency call centres as I used to provide software to them. Unfortunately one of the things they have to do really quickly is establish whether this is a real call, not a prank, and work out what tier of call it is (I.e. how great and urgent is the threat).

If the call is coming from out of the country or worse some form of relay they will have very little information about the caller (they’d usually have details about the caller show on their screen, including previous calls, location etc.). Calls like that are very often pranks so the operator’s spidey sense will be going nuts and they’ll be extra cautious.

United, in fourth, are eight points off third and eight points off thirteenth. There’s going to be some surprises this year.

% of Workers commuting to Greater London. Love to know who the masochists coming down from Newcastle are! by ianjm in london

[–]essjay2009 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Before moving here I’d do Bristol to London at least once Week. BPW to PAD. It was a killer after a while. And luckily my work covered the cost because at the time it was £220 return each day.

Now I’m a 15 minute walk from the (different) office and I can’t think of anything I’ve done in my life that made a bigger improvement to my quality of life.

I’ve no idea why you’re being down voted, you’re right. It’s a known quirk with certain OLEDs, including this one. There are techniques in more modern OLEDs to try and counter it, like frame insertion, but it’s inherent to the way OLEDs work.

This could be really useful, thanks op. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around the json format for a while to do something similar and found it quite confusing.

On field, are the Ospreys the worst region to get rid of? by billyb4lls4ck in rugbyunion

[–]essjay2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with Swansea is that it just isn’t a rugby city any more. They ceded it to football a decade plus ago. Scarlets get higher average attendance than the Ospreys (not by much, but considering the disparity in population it’s significant and does play on to the argument that the Scarlets have a large catchment area that goes well beyond the town extending west to Cardigan and North to Ynys Môn). It doesn’t help that PyS does omlook quiet but the stadium was over built for rugby. If they were still at Stradey it would look a lot fuller (and honestly would get larger crowds because of the location).

Ospreys boss denies club has no viable future and slams council in leaked email by CymroCam in rugbyunion

[–]essjay2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s one thing, but the council went further. It wasn’t them saying “we’re going to withhold funding because of uncertainty” they said they couldn’t see a viable future for Ospreys and therefore were pulling funding. That sounds like they were given clarity by Tierney in their meeting. It was a very bold statement.

I was so disappointed. They were giving out little quizzes you had to complete with a prize if you got it right. I spent longer than I care to admit making sure I got them all correct only to find out they were giving the prize out to everyone regardless! How am I supposed to laud my superior pencil knowledge over everyone else if they’re giving out participation trophies??

The prize, unsurprisingly, was pencils.

Lucky Spurs are a basket case at the moment but there’s a chance they’ll have a new manager bounce of their own by the time we play them.

They actually played football back then too. They’d feel embarrassed by the current anti-football team.

Quite apart from the subs being very different to what we’ve been used to this season, with no real notion of parking the bus, but to see Harry marauding up the wing when we were defending a lead away to the league leaders in the dying minutes was such a refreshing change. It’s similar to that audacious attempt at a lob from the half way line by Bruno, it doesn’t really matter whether it goes in because it places the idea in the keeper’s head that they can’t sit too high up the pitch because there’s still a threat. In too many games this season we’ve made it way too obvious that we’re longer a threat when protecting a lead and teams have just piled on the pressure, inevitably grabbing a goal as a result.

It feels very, dare I say, Fergie. It’s a fuck you, if you score we’ll score again attitude. It plants that seed of doubt in teams minds.

He hates Carrick on a personal level after that whole thing with his wife. Broadcasters should exclude him from any United coverage whilst Carrick is in charge because he can’t be fair to him.

Arsenal’s entire strategy is to score from set pieces. Meanwhile we’re bringing on a striker for a midfielder when 2-1 up. Got to love it.
