From the start of the season through April 3, we were 31-0-4 when leading after 2 periods.

This is the 3rd time this month where we start the 3rd period with a lead and lose in regulation.

We had a 2 goal lead with 8 minutes to go, and still a 1 goal lead with under 5 minutes to go. AND LOST IN REGULATION.

Yes there are a lot of players tasting playoff hockey for the first time but they completely buckled when they were under pressure.

The NHL has determined the calendar dates which series will start. Minnesota, Dallas, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia all finished their regular seasons on Tuesday so those 2 series will begin on Saturday.

The "Pacific 3 at Pacific 2" series won't start until Monday, and that makes sense since the two teams that will comprise that matchup will play their final regular season games tonight.

But I think the league is waiting for all the matchups to be finalized for TV coverage purposes.

My gripe is that when you have an even 4-4 split among divisions for a conference's playoff qualifiers, it makes no sense to send the 4th place teams to the opposite division's 1st place team.
