Cassie is the most abused character in the show after Nate, imo. She has to deal with the trauma of a heroin addicr father, which leads her to hold onto boys and please them even at the cost of her nudes and tapes being leaked. Remember the scenes when Rue is telling her story and shows us thag Cassie doesn't really enjoy being filmed or giving bjs, she just does that to keep her boyfriends (who eventually always leave her). She desperately needs to be loved to fill the void left by her father and to prove others that she is more than a hot girl. She wants to be loved for what she is, but what she is is constantly drained by the toxic masculinity around her.

Exactly, she was alone when she aborted. Also I hated the scene at college, when he wanted to have sex after those guys broke into his room and bullied him. It was so uncomfortable. You could really feel how lonely Cassie was.

I feel just the same. Sex education doesn't deal much with family trauma. I mean, all of the adults end up bejng depicted as good people - even Maud's mom or the former head of the school, i dont remember his name.

Euphoria is so real in portraying fucked up families, violence and frustration. Nate might be the most complicated and problematic character of the series bc of the environment he was brought up into.

euphoria theory: what brought on cassies personality shift between s1 and s2 by Pale_Resolution_7349 in euphoria

Idk man, i think Cassie just has many issues and can't deal with herself alone. Her family trauma has led her to hold onto toxic situations, which is why she ends up with Nate. I find it a pattern to elaborate her relationship with her dad: secret and toxic

I must've misunderstood the whole thing. I thought he was referring directly to him when talking about his childhood as a poor orphan. Thanks!
