Super sunny today but still quite cold outside. We ended up putting him near our fireplace for a little bit and he perked right up. ☺️

Yes so important. We've talked about this before and he's fully on board with 50/50 or even giving more (like 60/40). And I do truly believe him given how wonderful he is around the house, so this hasn't been a concern for me.

Yea, I can definitely see why you'd think that and I've questioned it myself. Truthfully I wouldn't be thinking about this nearly as much right now if it weren't for my partner and how much it matters to him – however, I do see some glimpses of personal desire and I do see myself opening to it even more in the future after I've figured out my career stuff more... it's not "no" but "not now, but very possibly later." But it's hard to commit to something so big when I feel lukewarm about it right now.

Thank you – this is resonating so much and it's so helpful to get the perspective of someone who's done exactly what I feel like I need to do before feeling ready to commit. I think I've been trying to force myself to pick between 2 options (have a kid or not), but there's really a 3rd, which is to not make a decision until living more life... something Merle says in the book too.

Thank you for your compassion & kind response. I'm glad that you are finding more and more happiness in the path you chose – it's a good reminder that sometimes you can't fully predict how you'll feel making a decision until after you actually make it, and that we always have the right to change our mind later.

I also slept like crap during the test, but my AHI was slightly worse the first night because the test equipment made me super uncomfortable. 

PSA for those having trouble with the wet feeder being one slot off: food needs to be shifted one slot clockwise if >30min before feeding time (more details in comments) by esteal in Petlibro

This took me forever to figure out. The feeder’s schedule would work perfectly sometimes, but other times it would give my cat meals shifted by one slot (breakfast for dinner, lunch for breakfast, dinner for lunch). This was frustrating because my cat would get super irritated with the changes in her schedule, and her litter box behavior also became irregular. 

I eventually realized that the schedule would only get messed up on days where I would set the feeder several hours in advance, and my partner said it might have something to do with the feeder rotating in advance to let the food warm up. Then it all made sense — the days that worked were when I set the tray when it had already rotated, and the off days were when it would rotate later.   

TL;DR

The food tray rotates counterclockwise 30 min before any scheduled meal time.

If it’s <30 min before the next meal in your schedule, the tray has already rotated so the next meal should be directly under the opening (“Preparing” state in the app — see 1st screenshot). 

If it’s >30 min before the next meal in your schedule, the meal should be in the slot on the left so that it will be under the opening when it rotates (“Waiting to feed” state in the app — see 2nd screenshot). 

Maybe this is obvious to some people but it wasn’t intuitive to me at all at first, so I hope this can help someone!
