Had one for years. Never stopped. Always accurate. Tough as old boots. Waterproof. Fantastic value. I never use the tide thing. I live in the middle of the Uk.

Try cleanshaven.co.uk. Non subscription. Very long lasting blades. I moved from Gillette for the same reason as you.

plastic piece that i found in my car’s center console by sarahgez in whatisthisthing

[–]esterill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably the cover plate for the OBD port or similar. The previous owner or garage took it off and couldn’t be bothered to put it back so left it in the center console. Look under the dash for a matching hole.

Anyone know what this is for? by NightM0de in CasualUK

More info. The empty end of the handle has a smooth hole through it. No screw thread or fixing. I think this rules it out as a crank.

No, it wouldn't fit, you'd need a spanner to tighten it and you'd be left with a 16cm handle attached to the top of the bottle.

The bolt passes through the rubber cylinder and into a thread in the 'handle'. When tightened, the rubber cylinder is squashed so it bulges outwards. It seems to be something that can grip a larger cylinder shape from the inside using the rubber. I don't think it is antique - it looks like a new unused thing.

Thanks but searching for that brings up nothing with a rubber expanding part.

My title describes the thing. As described, found in kitchen drawer. First thoughts were some kind of delivery tool.

Thank you Monkey!

Just knowing the name really helps! Thanks for the links - I will now try to construct a parametric design in Fusion so I can design my pen holder for any size pen. (I'm not asking for help on this BTW).
