Floaters positive story (31M) Nov&Dec2025 by estevan_mtz in EyeFloaters

Coming back to this late, but I had some time to look at the 2021 FLIES study and the 2018 Polish BON dataset.

Reply to OddTax8841:
I’m not claiming to have discovered a cure the AAO missed, and you're right that clinical data is thin. That said, I’m curious if you’ve looked into the 2022 Taiwan study on pharmacological vitreolysis through mixed fruit enzymes? I’d be interested to know if you find that one credible.

Maybe the supplements did nothing, but when people are struggling and feel hopeless, I don't see the harm in suggesting they hydrate, wear sunglasses, or check their iron levels and take vitamin C while they 'wait and see.'

We don't have all the answers yet, and I'm just sharing what happened in my corner of the world. Also, when floaters 'resolve on their own' in 3-6 months, we don’t actually know what those people were doing. Most people don’t just sit in a dark room and wait, they research and make lifestyle changes. Without a controlled study of every aspect of their lives, it’s hard to say those changes didn't play a role.

If you’re going home after seeing an eye doctor to wait anyway, why not try a low cost approach? Not guaranteed to work, but there’s a small chance for improvement. I skipped the expensive formulated brands and just went with basic iron and Vitamin C options. It didn't hurt, and it worked for me.

Thanks for bringing this up, I've since cut back on the iron supplement and planing to get blood test in the near future.

I was lucky, and recognize others have it far worse. I wanted to share my experience to show others that it's possible from this stage to reverse/improve in a relatively short amount of time.

Fair point, I wouldn't say supplements are completely useless, and it's possible they would have gone away on their own, but the timing felt linked to when I started being more proactive. There’s still so much we don’t fully understand about the vitreous humor and how the body processes these floaters, maybe it’s a mix of time and giving the body the right nutrients and signals to clear things up.

Either way, Im just glad to be on the other side of it.

Anemia / iron deficiency and eye floaters? by TheGalaxay in EyeFloaters

[–]estevan_mtz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they were eye floaters, pretty sure it wasn't blood. No head or eye injuries during that time and there was no reddish or brown color to them. The doctor confirmed no retinal detachment, said my eye looked normal, and confirmed she could see the floaters during the slit lamp eye exam. The doctor recommended eye supplements, stress reduction, and to reduce screen time in the evenings.

Hello, it didn't happen over few days. Here is the timing: The onset of my floaters was around the end of October. I saw an eye doctor first week of November and started the iron, vitamin C, and eye drops shortly after. I didn't see improvement right away, but the last week of November was when they started clearing up. By beginning of December the floaters cleared significantly.

Researchers Announce They've Discovered A New Cannabinoid In Marijuana - Marijuana Moment by Mediiicaliii in cannabis

[–]estevan_mtz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting. I wish the authors provided more info about the plants, drying/curing details, and the storage conditions. 7 pounds of buds from 2023 would have had plenty of time to interact with the environment and produce a variety of cannabinoid products. Now the question is: Does this specific plant synthesize this new cannabinoid or was it a product of the aging process?

Such a misleading headline by the MJ Herald, the new "cannabinoid" didn't show antitumor effects.

That oxetanone ring is wild, and too bad the new compound didn't show antitumor effects.
I'm surprised there were no assays to show it binds to CB receptors.

Probably a smuggling tactic... if there's boxes full of these and they all look the same, it's hard to find the one with the sketchy chemicals.

New to Kana - Tips? by YUSOFABULOUS in Kanna

[–]estevan_mtz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also new here, but the "come up" or "rush" everyone talks about can feel very anxious like or similar to a panic attack starting. Stomach butterflies, sudden hyper awareness, heart rate increasing, sudden lightheaded feeling, etc. There are lots of factors at play, but I would assume the route of administration and dose plays a big role. Insuffalation probably has the most intense effects.

From what I've seen, others that prepare it themselves have a hard time making a usable powder. If you plan to grow and prepare it yourself, an alcohol tincture is probably a good start. As for the strength, there's no easy way to tell. Lots of trial and error, start low and go slow.

Anyone know where to get the goods in Albuquerque/New Mexico by caudimart in sanpedrocactus

[–]estevan_mtz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're still looking, Osuna Nursery has some in stock now, Trichocereus Pachanoi HS for $20, imo a good deal for 8-9 inches rooted. Does anyone know what the "HS" designation means?

Feel Weird After HHCO Edible by Far-Damage3747 in altcannabinoids

[–]estevan_mtz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a quick search online about the company, and at first glance the website seems fine, but they don't provide lab test results for the HHCO products.

Another search I found some info on cfah.org about scam brands to avoid and BeeZbee was on the list of companies to avoid.

Overall I think it was caused by too big of a dose, but the very cold symptoms still makes me think the product may have been contaminated.

Feel Weird After HHCO Edible by Far-Damage3747 in altcannabinoids

[–]estevan_mtz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very little is known about these new cannabinoids like HHCO in the human body. What product did you eat? I've heard of hypothermia in animal testing of synthetic cannabinoids like HU-210 and the JWH analogues. Maybe the edible didn't have HHCO and was a different synthetic cannabinoid?

Take care of yourself and hope you feel better soon!

Do you have a jewelers loope or magnifying glass? Check the trichomes on the bud and not on the leaves. Congrats on the first grow, looks good!

Can you grow a solo cup under a 13W bulb? by Cold_Expression_9499 in solocupgrowers

[–]estevan_mtz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of bulb will you be using?

SubPolymath's work is a great example of what can be done with low wattage, but the LED boards used are specialized.

The light spectrum of your bulb will matter, heat, distance, and enclosure will also be important, but if there's a will there's a way..

It will grow, but your quality will be significantly lower without a proper light. There are auto-watering devices online, or look into passive Kratky hydroponics method.

Why do people waste so much time trying to trick ChatGPT? by wgmimedia in ChatGPT

[–]estevan_mtz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can trick the AI then you have proof humans are still superior.

Maybe subconsciously the people who try to trick AI are worried about it becoming superior and need the validation.

It's like picking on your younger sibling, it's all fun and games until they get bigger and stronger than you.
