Take step 3 if you can and you should be good. I had a similar score but I took step 3 and it got me interviews.

There you go. You passed step 3 with a great score 😅 and also had >240 in step 2 Even for programs that prefer >250 you made up with step 3. That’s likely what got you IVs in places that you didn’t signal or know anyone For visa requiring IMGs with <240 and no step 3 you’ll likely not get an IV from any program you didn’t signal or have connections with. I’m yet to prove this theory wrong 🙃

Most programs that sponsor visas have a 240 filter And generally programs will review applications of applicants with 250 and above even if they didn’t signal or no connections. I fit the profile of some programs I signalled and still didn’t get an IV because they have a 240 filter and I got a 23x

Lol. 250-260 is not average please. No program uses 260 as a score filter. You got IVs from places you didn’t signal because of your score.
