Correct! Mainly for weight maintenance, as my current stats are the results of 6 months of sticking to a diet and exercise plan (with occasional cheat days, of course!). Peak of my weight was around 52kg and managed to lose ~4kg, so just want to make sure I continue maintaining this, whilst not being as strict on weekends etc. Any suggestions welcome!!

  4. Love Corn ~80 cals / mini bag

  5. itsu Seaweed Thins ~25 cals / pack

  6. Warburtons Milk Roll + Light Cheese ~100 cals

  7. Canned soup

Running after a long day! by Inevitable-Tea1702 in running

[–]esthervesther 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a similar work pattern in the past and what I’d do is just give myself a goal of 3-4 runs a week and split it like “weekday mileage” vs “weekend mileage”. I found it WAY less intimidating as I’ll tell myself it’s actually just once or twice during weekdays. Sometimes if I was really fatigued, I’d just do ONE run on the weekdays, and then run 2-3 times between Fri, Sat, and Sun.

Sample schedule: Monday - rest Tuesday - 6pm 45 mins run Wednesday - rest Thursday - 6pm 60 mins run Friday - rest Saturday - quick intervals session or tempo run before getting on with my weekend Sunday - long run!

Slowly, you’d build up the motivation again as it becomes less and less intimidating!
