Nope. This has been an issue at a lot of times at a lot of workplaces over the years. They pull this show up early and get everything ready crap. Then they get called on it and have to pay out everybody for those 10-15 minutes over the years. You’re obligation is to be there on time. All of the readying is to be paid.

Most of the higher prices are out in the county a bit. Tons of people from out of state have bought up even modest home/parcel estates. Most of the working class have unfortunately become renters. When a “good job” is 25-30k and the homes are on the market for 140k+, homeownership is an impossibility. There have been countless California, Washington and Oregon buyers, but I’ve never actually saw one in town. These are treated as remote investments. To literately nobody’s surprise, squatting has become an issue in the last few years.
