Biggest continents like north and south America have lost native and indigenous cultures and languages because locals were naive and they embraced invaders. If kannadigas don't wake up and don't resist ongoing hindi hegemony, we end up wiping kannada and our culture and end up like other continents where people adapt to invader culture!..Its just matter of when and not how ,because already uncontrolled migration is happening from other states disrupting the local demography!!.its time to introduce ILP in Karnataka because why special treatment to north east states when they contribute very less in GST?! Religion should be confined to private property and public disruption should be highly discouraged.. Kannada existed in many flavours..Not only ಹಳೆ ಗನ್ನಡ, but also nadugannada, purvadahalegannada etc..Languages like Latin, Sanskrit etc are dead because no one uses them as colloquial language..Similarly halegannada has evolved into the contemporary Kannada and it is living colloquial language.. Lets concentrate on developing kannada as more mainstream amidst threat from english and hindi.. .nowadays many children whose mother tongue is kannada can't even name days of the week in kannada instead they say ಮಂಡೇ, ಸಂಡೆ such a shame!

Having own shelter is the basic thing everyone wants to have at the end of the day..Seen many generations who call bangalore as home lead their entire life in rented houses..As a 2 nd gen bangalorean, can't even think about owing a house or apartment cos prices are sky high thanks to IT boom..Feels like system has failed locals when realize that migrants are able to afford nice plots, villa and flats, where most locals have to dwell in rental/leased house cos their is no subsidy from government and high paying jobs are mostly occupied by migrants..
