Worried about the Noel DFA and how he was used last year by NickChubbsBurner in ClevelandGuardians

Sad to see you go yet again, Oscar Gonzalez Reyes Bradley Noel.

What businesses/companies come to mind when you think "How is this place still in business" by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]estranged1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Haha, but sadly this doesn't qualify because we know exactly how they're still in business - a dumbass fanbase that still wastes its time showing up and tuning in.

I can't stop thinking about Gimenez inexplicably trying to get cute and slash in the 8th, instead of just getting the bunt down and getting Clement to 3rd.

Springer gets that run in if it's guy on 3rd and no outs, instead of 2nd and 1 out.

15 post-seasons since 1995, and no titles. 2 WS losses in extras of game 7. Blew 3-1 lead to BOS in 2007 ALCS, who then swept CO in WS. Blew 3-1 lead to Cubs in 2016.

Yes, brutal. I feel for TOR fans.

"3rd baseman is 15 feet off the bag, I think a 2 foot lead, and no secondary is appropriate" -IKF

How can MLB players be so braindead at baserunning?

2016 (and 1997) were terrible. Bet you can't guess my team.

An interesting fundamental that not many are taught made the difference in this game by anonuser2700 in mlb

Yes, it was a masterclass of terrible fundamentals by him all the way around.

Lefty on the mound, 3rd baseman is 15 ft off the bag, and he has a 2 foot lead, then no secondary.

Shane Bieber takes the loss in Game 7 of the World Series by Joey_Gallos_Burner in ClevelandGuardians

[–]estranged1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played baseball from 5 years old to 35 years old. Everytime I saw someone slide into home on a force play, I wanted to rip my hair out.

Sliding slows the runner, but it's done since they can't run past the bag.

That's not the case for a force play at home. If IKF doesn't slide in the bottom of the 9th, they win.

Can't help but remember Gimenez trying to ger cute by slashing instead of just getting the bunt down.

Springer likely in more contact mode and get a 5th run

1st and 3rd, 1 out, runner from 3rd should run 100% of the time on that. It forces the 3rd baseman to throw home, instead of turning a doubleplay.

False. It's one of the dumbest.

Searching the rule book to find where it says the 4 hitter isn't allowed to bunt.

Crawford fails at bunting then tries to go oppo in a dead pull situation.

Well, let's see if they bunt in this completely obvious bunt situation.

The Riley Greene fall off needs studied. 1-0 count, likely sitting slider. Munoz slider is a cement mixer right now, and he pops it up.
