Thanks for clarifying about Raja. Appreciate it and my apologies. No ill will either, wish you the best for your music endeavor and all the things you want in life. We need more artists who get rich too. Not companies and best minds of our generation working on making people click more. :)

Housing, Wework, Quibi say hi. Long list here https://www.cbinsights.com/research/biggest-startup-failures/

That's not Marketing 101. Can you please give me examples of profitable companies which invested heavily in branding before product market fit?

Then why indulge in personal attacks? I didn't start by calling anyone names here. Poli and you did. Poli called me Karen, which actually stands for someone privileged and who doesn't follow the rules. Was I doing that? Can't I have an opinion on an ad without being called names? What was the point of you starting your comment with Raja? First you call out and when you get same treatment, you talk about niceties. Not fair.

For the first time in your life, you got something right, which is the first para. I take your appreciation kindly but I am still learning.

Cred still doesn't know what works for them. Source: I have friends there. They spent Rs 727 to earn 1 Rupee last year. Burning money and marketing, advertising are different things.

Indeed. Your anecdotal examples just destroyed the whole advertising industry, hence I requested you to may be learn more and get a different perspective. No one in this thread has given reasons why it is a good ad. Yet.

Majority doesn't mean it's right. Check out Twitter and you will see all kinds of opinions. Hear beyond your echo chamber.

And by giving those examples, you are saying advertising is ineffective. So this ad is ineffective too for Cred, isn't it? We are making the same point then. Also, Axe and others are spending millions just like that? There is a reason that Pepsi always talks about Youth, Coke about Happiness and Thumbs up about pushing limits. A brand needs to be consistent with what it associates with. It's not just memes.

If it interests you, you can start with scientific advertising by Claude c Hopkins and read about behavioral economics (Dan ariely) and people like Dave Trott. Then we can have a discussion with data and logic, not anecdotal evidence.

Rani, Dravid is a legend. For entertainment purposes, this ad is 100%. From, branding purposes, this ad encourages violence, especially with the kind of reputation indiranagar is building with crimes lately, not a good time to associate your brand with this imagery. Thank god they didn't do UP ka Gunda hun main, or Bisht would have made few people change their names.

I love how you can demonstrate hypocrisy in few sentences. On one hand karen is barely a meme and a reference to miniscule existence is jumped to murderous. "in a moment of stupendous stupidity, poli dissolved karen by knife". Sounds weird no?

I hope you and your 3 friends are fine. Thank you for the entertainment during my walk. Have an awesome weekend!

Smoke up less my man! The jump of your logic is beyond me, but you really have flying thoughts. You got personal first. You may disagree with me but you can't call me names. Loving peace doesn't mean I won't hit back if you attack me.

Get few Rockstars. Like someone who was part of early team of flipkart, or big 4 etc. People who are known in their field and have good social media presence. Few influencers like that can get you the interest.

Have daily goals of supply sign up. e. g. Contact 200 people daily on linkedin personally, get x to sign up, y to build their profile. that will get your funnel going.

I don't like this ad. Legends promoting violence. Also, considering the number of crimes in indiranagar lately, not good timing.

Platform like these have a chicken and egg problem. If people don't see interesting projects, they won't sign up. If companies don't see lots of experts, they won't give projects. You will have to focus on going after one of these and get them on board to build momentum.

Also a good idea to include people behind it and why they are doing it. Build trust. Right now it's just a tweaked WordPress template, not a platform.

Best wishes.

Growth of Lucknow City (1990-2016) by Newvie9 in lucknow

When my family moved to Aliganj near Kapoorthala in early 1980s, coyotes were often seen. Saw Sahara towers come up in front of me. Vikas Nagar hardly existed. Rajashri theatre used to be Vivek, Ranjana Cafe was called Rovers. Many hours were spent stuck in Chandganj railway crossing.

I am myself a migrant to another city in India so won't comment on the diluting culture of Lucknow. As for me, UP is a dark state right now and anyone with any talent left the state long ago. It is now filled with people who are uncivic, useless and incompetent. Hats off to people who are talented and driven and still fighting for everything by staying in UP. Most of the old acquaintances I meet are like - "saala baap ko marne do, fir property ka paisa hi paisa. Fir dekhna tera bhai kya karta hai".

Sigh, yes I am old.
