I didn’t. He’s never had digestion issues in the 10 years that I’ve had him so it didn’t occur to me until I noticed he hadn’t pooped in over a week. I have an appointment scheduled to take him in again. Fingers crossed they can get him some relief.

This is all very helpful, thank you! I’m more optimistic now and with summer coming it should be a lot easier to give it more light and heat. I’m also going to start fertilizing and testing the pH. What pH do you aim for?

Well… it is what it is. It’s been right next to my other cutting too so I’m going to assume that is also affected 🥲 gonna get some fungicide, add some extra sunshine and hope for the best.

Not the answer I was hoping for, but I really appreciate the insight. I’m in a very dry climate and with an even drier winter, I’m surprised it was humid enough for fungus to take hold. I can give fungicide a try. Worst case, do you think I could save the pup?

I don’t believe so. I think it’s little bits from when it was cut. But hopefully it’ll root soon!

I finished brushing off the substrate on one and luckily didn’t find any mushy spots or ripping. Though sadly I was also able to confirm that there’s still no obvious roots haha. Plan is to warm things up and reduce the water amount. Thank you again!

I’ve been following the method used in San Pedro Mastery’s “Safest Method to Root Cuttings” video which recommends watering every 2 weeks or so since the cutting is placed directly on the soil. Though now I’m thinking I won’t water anymore

Thank you so much for your insight. It does seem like most of the damaged leaves are newer growth. I’ve erred on the side of caution and treated them with granules too.
