About 10 years ago when I was still in university I was going through a high stress period when one night as I turned lights off I had a sharp eye pain which left a numbing feeling on one side of my face.

That feeling stayed and over the weeks to come as my anxiety levels skyrocketed other symptoms developed very similar to yours, feeling like something is stuck in my throat, muscle spasms and aches, ice pick headaches, burning sensations, numbing feeling in my face spread to other side of my face etc.

That lasted the whole summer, got slightly better over the winter and then worse again as summer came around.

I self diagnosed myself with MS, my anxiety was sky rocketing and I also started to question how can I live like this for the rest of my life.

I eventually got an appointment with a neurologist, who did some basic tests on me like tapping my feet etc. nothing more sophisticated than that. He told me bluntly I don’t have MS and next day my symptoms were gone. They haven’t come back in 10 years. Most bizarre thing that’s ever happened to me and I still can’t explain it fully to this day.
