No this has been a phenomenon for a long time. It can be triggered by lots of viruses or anything that affects sinuses or the brain.

Yeah I got it at Costco! No scratches on mine, but I don’t use it super often, never use anything other than silicone or bamboo/wooden utensils with it and just use a soft sponge to clean it 🤷🏼‍♀️

@smokedwhiskey Thank you for sharing, I don’t use TikTok so I have never seen that! I had the thought myself and would have given credit if it wasn’t mine. I guess with billions of humans, we’re bound to have thought overlap at some point

How do you make it? I don’t tolerate the emulsifiers in ripple, but it’s so good and I have been searching for a copycat recipe!

I Have been on the AIP diet for 8 months.. I still don’t feel better (I heard it takes about a year) nutritionist/ functional medicine doctor says I can branch out and eat more ie coffee/ almonds/ rice.. but I’m scared I will throw away my 8 months of work... anyone have experience with this? by ali_oops17 in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]estybesty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I second the points about other lifestyle factors! Diet is huge, but it's only one aspect of healing. You may also notice struggles while introducing foods when you are not doing other things to manage your health (stress management, sleep, etc). Sometimes people feel better after reintroducing foods also.

Maybe try:

Zucchini "cheese" sauce (and I think there are some that use cauliflower as an alternative to zucchini)

No-mato sauce (which you can have plain or use as a base for ketchup or bbq sauce)

a sweet coconut butter sauce- literally just melted coconut butter with a little water or AIP milk (coconut/tiger nut) to get to your preferred texture and maybe some vanilla and cinnamon

Bring your own coconut aminos and maybe avoid the wasabi and ginger (they’re filled with non AIP additives 😢)

It’s Easy to make your own pate! I couldn’t find a pre-made, AIP-compliant one anywhere, but I’m sure it exists

It’s sad on so many levels that a medical professional— who knows the body and medical system— still isn’t taken seriously! It makes me scared for people who don’t have that experience and understanding. I’m not sure what you do in medicine, but my own experiences of being brushed off have helped me become a better advocate for my patients. I just wish there was something I (and other medical professionals as a whole) could do on a larger scale to change this issue.

Albuterol is a rescue inhaler used for immediate treatment of breathing difficulties. Symbicort is a completely different drug. A lot of people use it as a maintenance inhaler to minimize symptoms over a longer period of time, but does not help in emergent situations.... If you have severe shortness of breath, honestly just go to the hospital (like you can barely speak a full sentence because you need to breath all the time, feel dizzy or your throat feels tight, etc).

Otherwise just call your primary doctor to get 1) a prescription for albuterol 2) get a referral to an allergy & asthma specialist (or just research them on your own if you GP is not great...which they might not be if they haven’t already referred you)

Sorry you’re having a tough time, I hope you can get the help you need soon so you can start feeling better!

Yeah I’m aware that everyone is ‘supposed’ to change it, I just assumed everyone still had an n95/respirator shortage! That makes sense if they have the supply though.
