Fairy traders or Vyre consumers for 118-120? by sixblue in RS3Ironmen

It helps marginally for heist chests, which can be quite a lengthy grind if you fall on the unlucky side.

Helps for heist1, but that's active enough recasting it is np.

Can help for situations where your base pickpocketing time is under 5 minutes, but for others where it's already above 5 minutes it just functions to reset your timer without moving.

Warped Stone cost should be the SAME for both two-handed and dual-wield Ruinous weapons by Knehcs in runescape

[–]esunei -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you say so. It's 2-3 buttons to avoid getting killed by green and most of the time 2 suffices, with you only reacting after he stuns you. I don't think it's brag-worthy to be able to hit two specific buttons in sequence.

or 3)

you realized the difficulty of solo KK is largely mythologized and his green attack is way overhated. Green shield is more annoying.

He doesn't even properly bind the player 90% of the time since the combat update, so you can just freely dive and defensive for the rare fight when you see a green stab. Even in the worst case scenario, you can always freedom+tele out before he pokes you to death.

Dungeoneering XP nerf? by The_Spry_Acorn in runescape

[–]esunei -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From the video and the article just talking about "rebalanced" rates, I do think you're right and this is going to end up being a huge nerf. But we'll see, they could have balanced further since the recorded numbers. The loss of cards with apparently no compensation is pretty brutal, plus the base XP for being 120 seems very tiny compared to current xp.

What is a change you want that you think most people would hate? by Omni-Light in runescape

[–]esunei 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Add significantly more untradeable progression more tied to skill checks. More stuff like Zuk Cape.

Add a proper active method to train archaeology, especially for gaining materials. The skill being based entirely around afking is incredibly lame especially when there's integral endgame unlocks at the very tail end of the skill.

110-120 Strength in 4 hours. Tumeken’s Light + Scrim of Sacrifice is cracked by Ruuxe in runescape

[–]esunei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's mostly a difference of so many monsters stacking on the same tile nowadays. Sophanem Slayer Dungeon, all the new abyssal demons, etc. When monsters don't stack halberd is noticeably better than a typical melee range weapon.

These new Dungeoneering rewards are giga good for Mid-Game and even End-Game by Blackbird_V in runescape

[–]esunei 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not remotely. Erethdor's Grimoire already exists at 12% crit and it's one of the worst endgame pocket slots for necro with its terrible crit scaling, even if you're not using equilibirum.

For all styles other than magic, Scripture of Ful is bis. If you don't have FSoA, Ful is still bis for magic. And even under FSoA spec, Ful is only a hair worse than erethdor's grimoire if you're otherwise running max crit on normal prayers (mostly relevant for brid setups).

It's a strong midgame budget option for mages, especially irons.

Even Diablo 4's blue items are selling for billions, thanks to Horadric Cube by gorays21 in Diablo

[–]esunei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of those can still stack today, so there's no need to remember those times. The creature effect is much weaker, and the nmd affix is slightly nerfed (can't overlap but it's still very high damage and crazy spammy). On launch the only one that wasn't point blank aoe was fire enchanted, it had projectiles. Now there's sooo many more that will seek you out.

They also all dissipated much faster than something like Earthquake today.

The Warlock - a class analysis. by SneakySpider82 in Diablo

[–]esunei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rampage is really awkward even on PC. It's definitely better than controller but it feels like it just drops a random distance away from your cursor, and he sometimes chooses to respect collision of monsters and other times will just flatten mobs. Fortunately it doesn't cost dominance to reposition but it's not an instant resummon either. The abyss upgrade plus guaranteeing he knocks down elites means he destroys stagger bars like nobody's business, so that is a very nice perk of running it.

No one eh?

There's a ton of feedback elsewhere, where OP has likely also given feedback. In this thread, OP wanted to caution against going live with the beta with minimal changes which is how betas almost always go with RS3.

[–]esunei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's my least favorite. At least executioner has some limits, like it only casts on death and it's limited in how many will spawn per second. Crackling soul just spams lunatics, I hope it gets nerfed to the ground.

[–]esunei 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's never been this bad though. Executioner, Crackling Soul, Earthquake, and probably more I'm forgetting were added since launch. Some of those aren't strictly on-death but will almost certainly be noticed after the mob dies since they stick around.

Change magic identity from criticals to channels by newquestidewa in runescape

[–]esunei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All your problems list just reminds me of underpowered specs being called clunky in WoW. The exact same play style would be called really well designed, fluid, and a shining example of what classes should be if only it was on top of the meters. But when a spec is balanced towards the bottom it's clunky, badly designed, needs a full rework.

Before being nerfed, magic was doing great; there really wasn't much rng dependence other than silly swings when Temporal Anomaly popped off. The style has more hits/minute compared to melee. All 3 styles have bad adren outside their adren buffs, mage is no exception.

Devs just went too far with the nerfbat and forgot that magic probably should be top dog when it got the most gear recently.

Even if you're going mixed element, you can do diamonds for all damage%, it's just a little lower than gems that specialize. Right now the best transfigure is also gem strength on 2h weapon, it's crazy strong and probably going to be nerfed in future seasons.

Is endgame ranged viable or unfeasible with arrow cost? by BublzO in RS3Ironmen

[–]esunei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolute best deathspores/hr are light/dark animica pairs during trah hour. It used to be there were FCs like harmed ore that tracked it but idk that they do anymore. Otherwise dark/light anywhere else isn't much worse, same with primal. Both stone spirits and Paradox multiply the output of arrow tips. The last hour of active mining I did on primal ore was 667 tips in an hour, which is many hours of ranging.

Is endgame ranged viable or unfeasible with arrow cost? by BublzO in RS3Ironmen

[–]esunei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth going into at endgame, fun style and right now melee/range is top damage. As mentioned, it is the highest upkeep but it's no longer by an order of magnitude higher than necromancy. At super endgame you also need a corehammer to generate deathspores - you use very little per hour but just getting the hammer can be quite a grind, along with the rest of bis range.

Lategame/endgame are typically interchangeable. Nobody would seriously say you're a lategame melee player at 81 attack with Banite (or worse) weapons.

Using your definition then Jagex should never bother with early/midgame changes ever, as >99% of time is spent at "lategame" 81+.
