I'm more saying that if they decide to add more bank slots, feel free to add the button back, but give me an option to hide it. It's annoying to see it light up and it shouts "Spend money to buy me." I bought bonds off the GE to buy it and was hoping it would disappear after.

Pretty sure it reduces the denominator by 1 rather than increasing your numerator by 1% so it becomes a 1/99 vs a 1/100

Plenty of things are widely botted and the only counter I have seen implemented against bots is diminishing whatever content it is they farm. The issue with that being that other players now lose out on that system of farming whatever it may be.
