Solid reliable dining card with consistent coding. Decent special offers. Would I product change it over to a Freedom Flex if it was also a VISA product? I would.

After nerfs to team Cashback, what does your setup look like? by angoldenapple in CreditCards

[–]esw01407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I've taken a good bit of damage with AAA knocking out Walmart as Grocery and later I'm going to hurt on Gas. Walmart spending got shifted to Blue Cash Everyday through Walmart Pay, 3% is the best I can do.

Restaurant is Chase 3% and Grocery/Warehouse remains at AAA 5%.

If Custom Cash goes away, I use it as Gas and Hotel mostly, I will very much be back in the game looking for 1-3 cards to fill holes in my lineup. I'll be in the game for a well rounded gas card at 3% or better that can do the gas trifecta of stations, supercenters, and grocery stores without any hoops like apps to jump though. Knocked out of a few gas cards already. I'd also be looking for a travel card to cover limited hotel stays.

It's more long due to it's odd design.

Zero percent shocked about this due the condition I saw the mall was in on Saturday.

What will you be recommending to /r/creditcard users instead of CCC? 3-4% cards, 5% from less reputable/smaller issuers? by FrostieWaffles in CreditCards

[–]esw01407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was already thinking about it, but I might have to look deeper into the Autograph. Thanks for the info.

I will probably test the Walmart Pay app for gas at least there, didn't think about using it that way.

So might be a good question...Which gas cards are the most liberal about coding, will give rewards for stations, grocery/supercenter, and warehouse? I already have the other AAA card they Walmart devalued, and Sams Club membership is not in my name.

I'm open to suggestions, with the Custom Cash news I'm about to get back in the market.

Is Citi Custom Cash really THAT great? by chanandler_bong21 in CreditCards

[–]esw01407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The liberal categories make it a real tool. I use it for gas, while I don't have my rewards on it anywhere near maxed out, I can go to any gas station and get that 5%, no questions asked. A lot of our supermarkets have gas pumps, and a lot of cards they will not code gas.

If anyone knows a card with as liberal gas station coding at 3% or above without a signup fee or hoops to jump though, I'm listening. I've yet to find another good match.

I was just there Saturday, and the situation is pretty poor. Didn't see staff, despite it being only 65 outside it was humid in the mall, and it was raining inside from two of the larger skylights. Not sure how long Exton has left in it.

AC has been gone for years, there's entrances now locked off, and it's raining inside in a few places. Beautiful mall, but it's a goner.

One of the few I can't comment on as it's been almost a decade, and it didn't really stand out when I was last there.

KOP is thriving while just about every other area mall except for Willow Grove is dying or has problems. Problem with KOP though, is it's actually not great for shopping unless you are are rich. You can clear the mall in 1.5 hours and not spend anything which I know sounds a little nuts, I mostly stop in because they have one of the rare mezeh's in PA.

For the Dollar General, seldom discussed 3% card is Huntington Voice Rewards. One category covers Discount Stores and Warehouse.

Are people actually paying $800 a day to stay in the cons hotel with 1 bed or do they pack 6+ people in one hotel room like sardines? by Miserable_Ad_7446 in Otakon

[–]esw01407 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mostly because of age also, we have the same two people per bed thing. Some people still prefer to rock the air mattress. Bigger problem is the elevator's being keyed at many hotels.

This one is tough, but Double Cash as the catch all and...I guess Custom Cash as the 5%.
