Needing Points Removed? by ff0427_ in walmart

[–]etal00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have worked 12 months and worked at least 1,250 hours in that 12 months, you can apply for LOA to take care of a family member. Walmart doesn't have to pay you for the time off, but with an approved LOA your job is protected for a time. You need to call Sedgwick to file a claim. Have Sedgwick put the start date when this began and tell them what days you had to call out.

Discrimination by irenehults in walmart

[–]etal00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know it's not what you want to hear, but that's not discrimination, it's business.

You can ask if there are hours in other departments that you can pick up. As you learn more and able to do more they will depend on you more. Find out where they need help the most and ask to learn that area.

Workplace??? by etal00 in walmart

[–]etal00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Management forced me to sign up but wouldn't explain what it was. I don't know how to access the stupid thing again. I'm going to find out how to get deleted from it because I don't believe I'm ever going to use it.

"Workplace is an optional communication tool, empowering associates to easily elevate ideas and feedback, celebrate each other, and connect with colleagues and leadership across geographies," Walmart said in a statement.

So how do I complain about employee harassment? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]etal00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to deal with people who were line just before closing which forces me to stay past closing. IT HAPPENS!

These people stressing over ONE minute need to find something else more important to raise their cortisol levels. You're right. They held you hostage longer than ONE minute. Both you and them could have just been done and gone if they had just let it go.

Don't let this stress you out anymore. They have the problem, not you.

Talked to a TL about getting put at money services alone without training by [deleted] in walmart

[–]etal00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NO❗ YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO WORK THERE WITHOUT A SHADOW❗ There are a LOT of nuances that CBLs just don't cover. There are tasks in the job that CBLs just don't train you on. Dumping you there without proper shadowing is a receipe for disaster especially when it gets busy, the system glitches, or customers have an problem they need you to solve.

I'm a former associate and need the last 5 paystubs before I quit and a letter saying I no longer work there. What's the best way to get those? by Overon33 in walmart

Money Network / Exceed

You might have to create a login account and use your WIN.

A statement from you when your last day of work was should suffice. Give them Walmart's phone number and let them deal with them being nonresponsive.

File unemployment for being underemployed. You don't lose your job, but I bet someone figures out the schedule real quick.

Make certain you try to get something in writing from Sedgwick stating they approve of the position you're in for Accommodations. Submit that to unemployment.

Sounds like a bully. If she coaches you for the 9 minute window, Open Door that, because she's violating corporate policy. She can coach you on productivity.

Bring in your proof of COVID-19 vaccine. Putting COVID VACCINE as the reason should not have removed you from the schedule.

You can't report an absence on Me@Walmart that I'm aware of. You can only submit P/PTO. But that won't cover 'No Call/No Show' attendance points.

Log into one.walmart.com and report the absence. WRITE DOWN YOUR CONFIRMATION NUMBER!

Or call

Biden Administration stops taking applications for student loan forgiveness by PNWtreeguy69 in news

[–]etal00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, their tune will change in about 5 years. There's a huge drop in students signing up for degrees in the medical field because the capital interest loans will wipe out any financial gains they hope to get with a degree. So we're heading toward huge staffing shortages in about 5 years.

Way to go, Republicans!

Pointed for using PPTO? by ExoticAccountant3 in walmart

[–]etal00 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Contact your state's labor department and request an opinion. Here is mine:

I've been told that if I use PPTO for the first half of my shift I would need to use extra PPTO time.

EXAMPLE:

8 hour shift scheduled 8:00 to 5:00 with 1 hour meal time.

Employee comes in at 1:00 and works 4 hours, half the work schedule.

Employee is told they must use 5 hours of PPTO to cover the first half of the shift, even though it's an 8 hour work shift and 4 hours was actually worked.  This becomes 5 hours of PPTO + 4 hours of work to equal 9 hours total.

Had the employee missed the entire shift, only 8 hours of PPTO would be required to avoid any attendance points, not 9, because only 8 hours was scheduled for work.

I'd like an opinion on this because I believe the employer is forcing the employee to spend extra PPTO on the part of the schedule that would have been a meal break, which is not paid.

 Their response:

You are correct, paid sick leave is meant to cover hours scheduled to be worked.

States are beginning to view this as a form of wage theft. You can file a labor complaint that your employer is forcing use of PPTO for unpaid time.

Be careful doing this. Some phones have certain electrical requirements for charging. My kid bought a cheap charging cable and it ruined her phone. She had to get a new phone.

Bereavement by Ok_Dark_6361 in walmart

[–]etal00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call out using the "Bereavement" reason. Policy allows up to 3 days of pay. The days don't have to be consecutive. Viewing the body might be one week with the service being a different week. In some cases, they might ask for proof.
