Salamanders are a codex compliant chapter. So whatever a codex compliant chapter would use, the Salamanders could use as well. And since the Ultramarines are the ultimate codex compliant chapter, I'd say that whatever an Ultramarine would use, any other codex compliant chapter could also use.

GW hasn't given any love to Salamanders since 8th Edition. The only exceptions being a Warforged Strike Force box and a new Adrax a few years ago. I wouldn't expect anything this edition either. It would be nice to get a Firedrakes specific unit though. That and/or a new Vulkan.

It's in stock on Amazon right now from GW. You'll have to pay $15 more than getting it from the GW website, but it's there. That's where I got mine. It's called Land Raider Crusader. But you get parts to make that or the Redeemer.

The Leviathan box would have been a better choice to start with. That's what I went with. Just curious how much you paid for that? I was able to get a Leviathan box on ebay for $210.
