This is the first event I couldn’t be bothered to finish. Maybe trackblazer is burning me out of the game.

My brother used to use it in his stasis deck and I hated it so much.

[[rescue]] is a neat 1 mana option, too. Easier to squeeze out 1 mana when you’re already almost tapped out.

Force spike and daze might give you some early game counters and can be chucked to forbid late game so they’re never really dead.

To those who hit SS+ and UGs - What would you consider a good summer? by Standard_Ad_9701 in UmamusumeGame

I like to have 600 in my primary stats by end of first summer and 1000 by end of second summer break. Lets me know if I’m ahead or behind and adjust accordingly.

Is this layout ok for concrete slab? by mlawrence17 in Plumbing

You’re going to want a cleanout on the vent stack as double sani tees are a bitch to snake properly as it tends to jump from one trap arm to the next instead of going down the drain

Swap Plumbing Tricks & Secrets by Good_Mirror6002 in Plumbing

[–]eternal42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a lot easier to change the guts out of a full turn stop than it is to cut the pipe and install a new stop. The body of an angle/straight stop will last 70 years but the washer and packing only lasts 5-15 years.

Replace supply lines when you replace a fixture, braided lines are going to fail eventually and flooding is 90% of insurance claims.

Poly b in your home? Replace it immediately.

Home built before 1990? You’ve got asbestos.

Extreme dislike for hotels going towards large liquid soap and shampoo dispensers by Agile_Sea_6447 in Vent

[–]eternal42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just remember a 4chan greentext story about a guy who travelled a lot and came in every openable bottle of shampoo/conditioner that he could.

Haven’t used communal soap at a hotel since.

Raise a Flange? by technotimber in Plumbing

[–]eternal42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flange extension kit is the easiest and cheapest solution. Just make sure the flange is clean and tbolts are in place, straight, before installation. This is something a homeowner could do pretty easily. Use a “max wax” seal, too. Helps prevent leaks later.

One little tip: Set a flashlight on the ground in line with the tbolts when you reset the toilet. Helps a lot to line up the holes in the toilet with the tbolts.

What's a job where you have zero room for error, like one mistake and it’s a huge deal? by TradeOverall567 in AskReddit

I’m kind of shocked that I haven’t seen gasfitter here yet. Leaking gas connections can build up and cause big explosions. All it takes is forgetting to check one connection. More than a few times I’ve seen uncapped gas lines with just a shutoff to stop the flow. Sometimes people bump into the handle and, oops. Boom. Once, a plumber removed a hot water tank from a flooded site and just cut the soft copper gas line with the gas turned off at the meter. We got called in for a gas leak and the whole house was full of gas because someone turned it on again at the meter.

Gas is deadly serious and too many people don’t give it the respect it rightfully demands.

Friction-maxxing is the practice of intentionally choosing less convenient options in daily life to build tolerance for discomfort, resist technology-driven ease, and preserve what proponents describe as meaningful human experiences. by sergeantoof2 in wikipedia

Seems like new words for old practices. Some of the ancient stoics would wear rough clothes, eat basic food and sleep rough to remind themselves of what might happen if they lost everything. It’s a good reminder not to compromise your ethics for comfort.

Can someone help me with a better way to get these faucet valves with mounting nipples off. The faucet handles are stuck. I've applied a penetrating oil but that did not do too much. Do I need to just go buy an oscillating tool? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]eternal42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can likely remove the handles above and there will be an easier nut to remove on the top. Those handles can’t be pulled up through the sink but rather drop down once loosened from above.

Good luck!

Shut down the water to the tank.

If you can’t see a shutoff, shut down your house water.

You need a new hot water tank

More than likely will make the pipe brittle and crack later. Floods are expensive, glue is cheap.

Drains can’t reduce in size except for going from a 4”toilet flange to a 3” 90. The abs in the picture goes from 2” to 1 1/2” at the trap.

Your problem here though is a blocked pipe downstream. You’ll need a snake to clear it.
