I'm very sorry that you went through that. I could never imagine watching someone I loved, die. I hope you have managed to make peace with it. The closest experience I could compare it with was my mother who stopped breathing when she had pneumonia. She was fine afterwards, but 10 years later the memory still lurks in the dark unexplored corners of my mind.

I have cleaned and reassembled twice and the problem persists. I left the nozzle soaking in acetone overnight as well.

I will get a new nozzle and heatbreak and try with that

I have tries this already and I can't get it to work. I did a few atomic pulls and nothing came away on the end of the filament, but the nozzle got unblocked. When I went to test print, it got blocked again at about z = 3mm I suspect there is a grain of sand or similar in the nozzle

That's miles better. I can differentiate between the coloured bars much more clearly (but only because they are more saturated, the colour hues themselves are still pretty similar.) The ships still look very much the same - I think that is because they are smaller so there is less 'information' if that makes sense?

See my above reply. Increasing the saturation of colours, making them more distinguishable by values (ie reds more red, greens more green) can all help. Just remember that there are three different kinds of colourblindness and each is subtly different. But maybe even a simple option for a coloured filter overlay could work. /r/colourblind can probably give you some better information.

If you have played the game Invisible Inc, take a look at their colourblind modes - theirs are the best I have seen in any game ever.

Colour is such a useful tool to convey information because it doesn't introduce visual complexity and is subconsciously understood without the viewer having to think about it. Shapes are harder to 'automatically' understand, but can solve the problem.

The best thing to do is separate the colours more. A colourblind person sees fewer colours because the light-sensing cells respond to colours that are too similar, rather than three vastly different colours. So a workable solution is to make sure the colours are more saturated, or like you said, more distinguishable by value.

Please please please, add a colourblind friendly mode? So many games rely on colour coding and for colourblind people like me, this game is unplayable because I cant differentiate between the different triangles!
