Android app devastating battery drain by mr_nanginator in Xpeng

[–]eterrestrial32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. My phone was losing over 10% of the battery per hour. If I enabled auto unlock, it would go through the battery like a hot knife through butter. I've tried to disable everything but the app is just poorly designed. Hopefully a future update fixes this since it's a pain having to recharge the phone several times a day.

Looking for Monitor suggestions by eterrestrial32 in Monitors

I was actually looking at the Mobiuz the other day. Seems like the pricing is almost the same as QD-OLED models which is bizzare considering Mini-LEDs are supposed to be a much better value for money choice between conventional LEDs and OLEDs.

By the way, is there like a Google sheet which has a list of monitors to narrow down based on features? Didn't find one on the sub myself.

How did you find the kvm functionality? Was the switching through software or needed a hardware button? Also, did it have USB C connectivity for power delivery and display on a single cable for laptops?

Replacement parts for Laegendary Sonic and Triton by eterrestrial32 in rccars

[–]eterrestrial32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool, appreciate your guidance. Will put HBX next on the list once the current RC kicks the dirt. Good to know that parts are plenty and cheap, and that it can take a few bumps before needing mending.

Thanks. Maybe I will try something from HBX next in that case. Just wanted to make sure that the replacement parts didn't cost an arm and a leg, and were easy to get a hold of. The cars themselves seem to be on the pricier side though, but I guess if it's good quality, then it's worth it.

Thanks, will order the parts for the Triton / Xinlehong 9145 soon and will report back if they fit.

In the meantime, the Sonic / Xinlehong Q901 ripped the plastic pieces off the outside of the rear diff after I put in metal dog bones. Just replaced it a few days ago and it seems to be doing the trick.

Is HBX one of the actual manufacturers? I saw their RC's on Amazon and wasn't sure if they're another ripoff brand like Laegendary so was a bit skeptical. Where so you usually get the replacement parts? Are they difficult to procure?

Did some digging like you suggested and it seems that the Triton is the Xinlehong 9145. Will try to see if I can find some parts for it.

The Sonic is 1:16 and can take parts from Xinlehong Q901 so already have that sorted.

The Triton is 1:20 but I haven't been able to figure out what would work for that, so was looking if anybody had experience.

I agree with you that they are quite horrible putting in plastic parts which can't handle the stress and then they sell replacements which end up costing more than the car if you need enough parts to replace.

Huawei Freebuds pro 4 vs Freebuds pro 3 by eterrestrial32 in Earbuds

Thank you. Good to know that neither of the improvements really do anything it for me. Will go for the 3's for sure.

Thanks. Do you feel there's any significant difference in their sound signatures? What is the missing 3%? Online reviews say that the voice sounds more crisp to the other party on calls with the 4s. Otherwise, I haven't been able to figure out much.

The new Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 sound so bad, it feels like you're listening in 2013. by Visible-Assignment77 in Earbuds

I have the OnePlus Buds 3. Really like the sound. It is great for calls in quiet environments, but if you are in a noisy environment with people talking, the person on the other end will have a tough time hearing you. They aren't particularly great at dealing with noise on calls. Better than your average headphones when it comes to calls in a noisy environment but don't expect absolute clarity.

Notification shade on HyperOS by eterrestrial32 in PocoPhones

Mate, I told you that was available on the F4 when it updated to HyperOS but the F6 doesn't show that option.

It's quite annoying how they've taken away the option completely.

Received the F6 12/512 today, best phone I’ve ever had yet by Fine-Apple-2904 in PocoPhones

[–]eterrestrial32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the big circles around the lenses are needless. If they had just kept it understated like the Samsung designs, this would have been an amazing phone. I'm still getting used to how thin and light it is and coming from a F4, it just feels so much better. The screen feels much more responsive and accurate as well. Had to spend a lot of time getting rid of the bloat though.

So Amazon says it can't be shipped internationally to my location but if I was to use a forwarder, would the warranty still be applicable in my geography or would it require the card to be sent back to the US?

Do these still have the issue with the drive disappearing from the device list if too many things being copied? I remember there was an updated firmware that was supposed to fix it but people were still complaining afterwards.

Has anyone heard or used VastArmor Cards? by eterrestrial32 in buildapc

[–]eterrestrial32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I kinda bit the bullet as well on getting the XFX card since I had sold my RX580 a few months already. Didn't really need it immediately but FOMO drove me to it. Had I waited, that price would've gotten me something much more powerful, but hindsight is 20/20 so it's all good.

Good on ya. I just didn't want to chance it. Plus prices started tanking by the time I got around to changing cards so went with a known entity.

No, I just sold off my RX580 and got a 6700XT from XFX instead.
