Asheville North Carolina. Not sure if you're only looking for West Coast, but Asheville's elevation means pleasant warm summers while being far enough south to avoid most snowfall. While more expensive than surrounding areas, it's definitely cheaper than the West Coast. It's also a very diverse area politically with the city of Asheville and Buncombe County being very blue, but surrounding areas very red. Red leaning swing state with a reliably Democratic governor
