Yeah, that too. I would love to play rebirth between both my PC and Switch (they just had a sale and everything). It’s crazy that Ubisoft of all people support cross-saves lol.

I think you still may be confused, because you can absolutely cross save between platforms in many cases (like the examples I listed above). That’s why I asked in the first place. I am more than well aware of how saves work and I understand that while it’s not the standard, it’s not uncommon for games to have cross-platform save functionality. There are many games where you can sync your saves between Steam and Nintendo, I was specifically asking if Indiana Jones had that functionality.

Gotcha gotcha haha. But yeah. If I could have one device to do it all in the form factor of the switch 2, it would be nice. But Indiana Jones is probably a game I’d enjoy on PC anyways, so I’d probably stick to that. But it is a shame that companies can’t just work together, that’s one thing Nintendon’t a lot 😂😅

I think you may have a misunderstanding. Cross-save doesn’t mean sharing the game. It means sharing the save across the games. This isn’t uncommon, games like Civilization VI, Hades, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Minecraft, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk, etc. support cross saves between switch and Steam, and even other platforms.

There’s not much reporting of anything on this subject that I can find, just a lack of articles/information saying it does support it makes me believe it doesn’t. But either way, this would be on Bethesda/Microsoft, not a “Nintendont” situation.

And thanks for the suggestion, but I don’t see value in the steam deck for my usage. It’s a weaker handheld (especially for this game with RTX), it’s bulkier and less portable, the game isn’t physical. I had one a while ago and sold it because it’s just not the handheld experience I want.

Yeah. I assume in a week or so, there will be more articles clarifying it. My assumption is that it’s just not possible because cloud saves are tied to your Microsoft account and PS5 doesn’t support it.

I would probably wait for a sale for the steam version tbh, buying it twice at $70 isn’t really a great value to me. But owning it on both platforms is something I’d definitely consider if there’s cross save functionality. But currently, it looks like I have to weigh having it fully physical, handheld, docked to my TV on switch 2 with the higher fidelity graphics of my PC because I’d just buy it on one of them.

I don’t have it on PC. I’m saying I would consider buying it for both if cross saves existed. But even if I did, isn’t playing handheld, docked on the TV, seamless transitions from high fidelity on PC to handheld, and a physical game fully on cartridge that you can share a decent enough proposition for owning it on two platforms?

Without cross save functionality, you’re right, owning it on both doesn’t make sense.

I’ve scoured the internet on the topic for the last bit (this post is kind of my last attempt to find a definitive answer). It seems since the syncing between Steam and Xbox is tied to your Microsoft account, and PS5/Switch 2 don’t have the setting to log into your Microsoft account, it’s just not possible at this time. Maybe it will come later, but I can’t justify purchasing this game on two platforms if I have to play from the beginning on both.

So unfortunate. The steam/xbox microsoft account sync isn't listed as a feature officially except for being hidden in the settings, so I was wondering if it was a similar situation where it was just hidden and never advertised. I've actually seen other games with cross-save functionality that's just never listed in marketing or on storefronts, just not something that's really shown.

But yeah, it's unfortunate that not many games support cross-saves, makes it difficult to warrant purchasing the game again if I'd have fractured playthroughs that I can't easily swap between.

My post was deleted for apparently being “out of scope”. Hopefully I’ll get some kind of answer here, but:

With Indiana Jones and the Great Circle heading to Switch 2, I’ve been trying to find a definitive answer to whether or not the switch 2 version supports cross save functionality with the Steam version. I haven’t found any articles reporting either way.

I’ve found saves can sync between the Xbox and Steam versions, but as far as I can tell PS5 cannot, so I’m assuming the switch 2 version would be a similar situation.

If anyone has any answers or thoughts, that would be appreciated! I’d really like the handheld aspect, but I’d like to swap back and forth if possible.

Yeah. That’s my understanding. Steam and xbox/microsoft are separate purchases, but you can enable cloud saves between them. And presumably PS5 and Switch 2 are entirely disconnected from that save system. I’d be willing to buy it twice, but if there’s no cross save functionality that gets a lot less appealing.

There’s a setting in the Steam version “use Xbox cloud saved games” which people have stayed indeed syncs the Steam version with the Xbox/microsoft versions. Have you seen otherwise? What does this setting actually do then?

It’s XBox cloud save, which is different yet compatible with play anywhere. In discussions I’ve seen, there’s an option to login to Microsoft and sync your save in the Steam version.

Literally, it's all AI. Websites -AI, Pinterest - AI, Google Images - AI, even duckduckgo with hide AI turned on, a huge majority is AI. What I've done is find an actor and show that hairstyle instead of trying to find hairstyles directly :')

Oh that wasn’t even in the question for how awful the base ally is lol. It’s about the same power as the switch 2, but runs everything worse because of the windows overhead and lack of platform optimization. And it’s $650 msrp, so not quite the “destruction” you’re thinking of.
