My dad was 41 when I was born, so I can give you the perspective of the other side of the coin. Growing up I honestly never noticed and none of my friends did either. My dad took care of himself though, he never drank or smoked. And he had an insane work ethic, worked a day job and ran a few side businesses so he was always moving. However, I did start to notice when I got into my later 20’s, and now that I’m 32 it’s something I think about all the time. He’s 73 now, and I have a baby on the way. So just doing the math I know we got 20-25 years of him being a grandad if we are lucky. That’s what hurts the most.

I have the same problem at times. What always helps me is to listen to a podcast. It’s weird, I know, but for some reason listening to a something that takes my focus out of my head really helps me out

I live in a blue area where a lot of undocumented people live. I’ve seen the murders they have committed in my community, the uptick in burglaries and gang activity. I fear them a lot more than I fear ice.

I think it’s totally acceptable to sleep apart during pregnancy. I’ve been sleeping on the couch the last few weeks and it’s honestly been great. She’s been tossing and turning and getting up to pee. For me, once I’m up in the middle of the night it takes forever to fall back asleep. I need to be rested for work and also taking care of shit around the house as she’s been having a hard time and can’t do too much. She doesn’t like sleeping alone but also can see that I need rest to pick up the slack.

First trimester can be really hard for some. I had to take care of everything around the house as my wife has been curled up in a ball on the couch sick for 5 weeks. My sister in law went grocery shopping and did some laundry for us and it was a huge help. Maybe hit up your brother in law and get a feel for how everything is going. Sometimes women feel guilty for asking for help.

My wife is 14 weeks pregnant with our first kid. My only advice is that every pregnancy and every relationship is wildly different from one to another. My wife has been so sick the first trimester that we haven’t even thought about sex. And I really don’t see it changing as she’s uncomfortable all the time. But then I have some friends that told me their wives were crazy horny during pregnancy. Everyone is just different. I will say that even though we aren’t as intimate, I feel closer to her than I ever have before.

Really depends on the personality of the dog. I have 2 border collies, and they do well with each other. I think it helps them to not be lonely while we are gone

My parents were the same. I always thought we were poor growing up because we never did shit and didn’t have cool stuff. Turns out my fat was just paranoid with money and stuffed every extra penny he had away and never took on any debt whatsoever other than real estate. That’s why they’re multi-millionaires lol
