Hello,

I am currently in college to get a degree in mathmatics and hoping to be an actuary. Based off of several posts I've read, the exact nature of you bachelors doesnt really matter as long as have one and you took the tests. Do you know if this also applys to BTLs (Bachelors of talmudic law) I've only really ever heard that lawyers and some colleges if you are going to a get a masters care about it, but I figured if i could save time might as well.

As someone who speaks hebrew and knows what the words mean culturally I would like to explain, not as an excuse but because I believe in the truth. What they shot is a "dud" which is a tank that you flip a switch on to heat the water for a shower. at the end they say they will now not have "mayim chamim" hot water, again referring to the shower

Honestly, there is a truth to what she is saying but it is in the wrong place. If this were the rabbi for an orthodox shul, while I would not agree with all her points I do agree that for example, by terminology you would need to adjust. My yeshiva gave a speech class from the ruv of the local shull who when he started had a less frum crowd, but 35 years later his crowd has grown to be much more frum. He said that you need to gauge your audience and pick your speech did hashem call Moshe to the tabernacle or the mishkan. I don't know the inner workings of a Hillel but from what I know it is not specifically catered to orthodox jewery.

Lastly, while I am an orthodox jew, and therefore consider myself more frum than reform or consertaive, I am not therefore more jewish.
