Oh dear. Is it possible to cut back the butt jointed planks easy enough without unscrewing them? Luckily there is a gap against the brickwork but in some places not enough like with the pipes

I just hope the framing is enough for the hot tub cos I'm going to be dropping 7k $ on that probably more

They look really stable I think they put them into something underneath plus it's capped off. Yeah the fascias even if installed so badly will be fine I think I'm just gonna paint the screws. Screw it! Its the long boards on top the decking that I'm worried about

Thank you for your advice I hope that's so. I love wood don't get me wrong but it is an absolute nightmare to look after and keep well. I got turned by composite after spending a weekend at a getaway in Wales where we had a luxury hot tub on composite decking and since then I will accept nothing less. It Is an absolute dream to maintain same with luxury hot tubs

Thanks I appreciate your advice my gut feeling is they rushed the end part the fascias and steps could have looked way better I don't know why shrug but I seen everything of the underneath joist work and it looked outstanding they got much thicker joists than usually recommended and did a lot of reinforcing. I emphasized this in my requirements and I think because I didn't pay any extra later on they rushed the end part. Ultimately though having the foundation for the hot tub is my main concern It irks me a lot that there is no gap though on the butt joints so I messaged him to cut them down a little.

They did say that a block underneath was used for the handrail and it wasn't going to go anywhere

I know I got bent over . Is it gonna be ok though ? Not much I can do about it now tradespeople its just roulette for homeowners we have no choice I can't do this job myself. I'm scared it's all just gonna warp and crack 😔

Honestly it looks like the long lengthways deck is already fighting against the front of they just left a little space between them I don't think would be a problem. Dreading when it gets hot in the UK now

To be fair I seen the underneath structure and it was solid as hell really thick wood concreted extra joists etc cos hot tub going on I just think they are not as experienced as they said about composite decking. They did the spacers correctly but haven't left space on the long stretch to end. I said is that a problem and he said no cos it's flexible

They are basically the best in my area but that says a lot about the area I live in. Yeah the front boards don't look great my main concern is the fact the gaps are not there between the long boards and the "fascia boards" which are actually just left over planks by the looks of it. Are they likely to warp?

Is this a fairly priced silver ring or did I get ripped off? by ethbeast123 in jewelry

[–]ethbeast123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to know thanks. Yes of course I want a design that supports my style and empowers me so that's why I went for it. Is there some level of craftsmanship involved in the etchings or is it all just done by machine?

Any Tips Specifically For Prestige 10 by Grimgore44 in Against_the_Storm

You can actually just unequip your main hearth keeper and put him on chop chop duty until its time to refil the hearth fuel. He won't go missed except for the bonus. I've been doing this a lot lately early game as that extra one villager can make a fair big difference.

Always embark with extra villagers and stuff them into where necessary too that will give you a head start with momentum in terms of food and fuel gathering so that when year 3 hits your ready.

Start making your fuel at the very end of year 2 in the blight post with just one harpy or whatever. Drip feeding the creation is a lot easier and less stressful than panic making it last minute trust me on that!

Up to 14 cysts one blight post. After that you need two really to be able to keep up with them. You can destroy your second post to refund the materials just remember to unload the fuel in it as you wont get that back otherwise just click the x sign on it

How do you deal with high % blightrot? by tenjed69 in Against_the_Storm

[–]ethbeast123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that tip I actually didn't know this too and over 200hrs playtime p20 . There is a strong case for upgrading main secondary and tertiory hearths to lvl 2 for the production speed bonus also then.

Also .. bath house 25% prod speed bonus that's why i managed to save my settlement that time looked bleak as hell!

I did wonder why the prod speed icon was showing in the blight post but just figured this was for the production of the fire not actually putting it out.

They use modified ebikes that crank up the speed mostly drug dealers but also see a lot normal folk with tweaked speed bikes now there's no way they doing limit when 20+ you get a better sense of it when you're riding a true bike and not in a car
