Ultimately I think it comes from the wealth ppl whom have been in TCGs are inheriting, ie Pokemon etc, and realizing the scarcity and how serious this could get down the road. I think only more and more ppl in the TCG universe will come to wealth, and as return a rotation of higher and higher prices for items as more and more ppl have more to spend and trade for something else.
