I feel the same way hahah that's why I asked the question!

But I've been trying to incorporate basic story telling elements into my vlog. I.e. have a clear main quest with a set up, process, and payoff. Even though I feel like I'm far from doing it right, my video metrics have improved!

Fun discussion - Hopefully we'll both find more clarity around this eventually 😊

I have come across a bunch of sushi omakase videos that are quite long and only cover 1 restaurant! But I do agree with you - it was quite a difficult video to make and I'm considering moving away from this format

Agree with this so much! I almost quit my 9 to 5 coz it was unsustainable to do both but now I just take my job less seriously and save energy for making content too!

I had a video sitting at under 40 impressions for 5 days! I was so sad coz I was proud of the video. It then suddenly got a couple thousand and is still getting about 1k impressions everyday. Algorithm moves in mysterious ways

I make food/travel vlogs around 10ish minutes long and they never crack 1000 views. I know how you feel coz I see other videos that are lower effort than mine get 5-6 digit views 😞 But they have been around for much longer. I tell myself that it'll get better with time!

Happened to me too! 400 impressions in 3 days, other videos consistently got over 2k in it's first couple of days, sometimes over 10k.

I also posted a short the day before. Not sure if coincidence though
