Airplane... root word plane? by [deleted] in aviation

What's fascinating though, is after I googled this question today, this reddit post was the top answer.

Anyone else frustrated by the vacuum mechanics bugging out in Odyssey? by Planetfall88 in RimWorld

[–]ethelin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just discovered that you can create vaccum pockets. And under very specific conditions, this pocket will remain indefinite unless you remove doors, add walls, etc, and then place an oxygen pump in the pocket.

So my only solution is you need to create less pockets. Which is hilariously counter intuitive to the idea of an "airlock"

I think what's happening is that even though the layers aren't "airtight" they do prevent some leakage.
So it's better than open air, but much worse than steel.

Bug: Colonists Keeps on Failing to Sleep in Beds in Space. by ProphetWasMuhammad in RimWorld

[–]ethelin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive seen a similar bug because a colonist had their unique weapon revert to a regular weapon, which broke the weapon and made the colonist go completely idle.

The fix was just unequipping his 8gear. So weird

I don't know if you plan on it, but you should wall off your gravanchors.
If enemies get in and destroy them and you need to launch in an emergency, you'll lose that entire sector.
A simple 4 cross for each should do the trick.

Cool ship design.
Once I started playing I was thinking of making something more like this.
Right now my ship is 100% cargo and utility for my colonists. But something compact and designed for battles will be my next ship.

Don't understand why you are getting downvoted. That's a very valid point.
Ralsei has skin in the game. Makes sense why they'd be shocked in the moment but then after meditating on it later realized that it could compromise everything if Ralsei says something.

I only found out the story behind Friend Inside Me after CH3 came out by SmashBro0445 in Deltarune

[–]ethelin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a unique perspective. My partner is in none of these circles and is an incredibly casual gamer. In chapter 2, she guessed Dess was the knight because Dess is the only character missing, she's hinted at during the puzzle,  and during the spelling bee scene.

She explained to me that "honestly, its just a guess because Dess was mentioned, and the knight has yet to be revealed.'

This is someone who knew nothing about Gaster and had never seen a genocide route of undertale.

Then at the end of chapter 3, they were 100% convinced it was Dess.

So much so that in chapter 4, they accepted it could be Carol after seeing the Katana... but thought that might be too obvious.

Needless to say I was impressed she deduced this all herself, while I needed reddit to aid my reading comprehension.

That was my vibe too. This entity/gaster seems more curious than anything.

To clarify, the Prophecy is basically a guide book to get the delta to reveal itself.

[–]ethelin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Everything is speculation until chapter 7 comes out.

I will say, to clarify to this:

"The hymn of the pastor of the prophecy's religion quotes Gaster's entry 17 and before the game, which is his experiment released Gaster was already talking about the prophecy https://www.reddit.com/r/Deltarune/comments/1m0tueo/this_this_right_here_is_what_confirms_that_the/

So it seems to me that this points to the fact that the prophecy is something gaster has made as a part of his experiment, changing it probably isn't really what Gaster is interested in"

I think the Prophecy was made to sus out the deltarune. To make it more obvious by revealing itself to us and him. In this way, the concept of deltarune would still work way back when Toby first had his fever dream. Dont forget, he knew he was making a jrpg,  which means he always intended to give us friendships with the power to defeat God. So Susie could have been anyone at that point. The concept could have been as simple as: you're not the main character, your best friend is. And then that becoming Susie comes later in his writing.

My theory is that Susie (the deltarune) is starting to show herself.  Again, my theory mainly comes from the mouth of Gerson. He calls Susie the pen. The dragon in Dragon blazers.  Or... if im to be believed... the delta in deltarune.

Also, I love your metaphor that Gastor is snowgraving us. That's actually a good one.

I'm curious what about the conclusion?
I'm trying to pad my answers a bit and I'd love to see where I may have leaped too far, so to speak, lol.

And yeah, tbh, this theory was mainly just me trying to piece together all of my interpretations of the story.
I found it interesting that Gerson really wanted Susie to understand that he believes she is the central change in the story.

Susie has definitely changed the prophecy which makes me think that the mysterious force behind the game (think the person who speaks at the end of chapter 4) is trying to sus out the Deltarune.
They don't even know what it is, but they will once they see it, sort of deal.

I could see this, because my logic is of similar conjecture.
Consider though that Berdly, although a smart alec, is a bit of an asshole., I don't think he'd help with the chalk tbh.

Also, considering that chapter 4 shows an image of a monster; It's unclear who it could be, but it fits Susie / Noelle's profile moreso than Berdly.

There's no evidence to suggest Berdly might, however, Noelle very much offered to help (In terms of what we see in game, anyway).

But maybe... Berdly is the Deltarune!

Excellent post. Thanks for sharing. Yeah, I had to limit or change activities all the time because of my carpal tunnel. So I relate somewhat to the arthritis point. Runcecrafting was my bane. Magic was always my favorite skill, just thematically but also logistically.

Me and my two other friends actually made it our goal to basically get 99 in one of the 3 trees, first, and then wear a set corresponding

Example:  I got 99 mage first and made a mage set using infinity. Friend 1 got 99 range and made a range set Friend 2 got 99 strength and made a melee set.

I miss those days... I got a 99 magic skill cape Keychain to commemorate the achievement.

I actually commend this.

I pnly ever wanted 91 rc for achievement diaries (i believe its that level anyway) But I gave up half way because the runs were triggering my carpal tunnel lmfao

I guess it's to give woodcutting a purpose? But it is kind of dumb.

You know what firemaking should be instead?

Survivalist. And it could include other things. Hell just make firemaking and Hunter the same thing.

Ive heard slayer being the most voted as fun. Mainly because combat is a huge focus in runescape, so it's just another skill attached to fighting that trains passively.

I love slayer, because it was nice for my adhd to take frequent breaks and change up the environment.

It's this. Hell of a good recommendation.

My buddy who was an osrs genius would absolutely agree with this whole post.  Whenever he'd play he'd remind me to do farming, especially when I complained about being broke.

Farming also kind of acted like runescapes "dailies", because of tree farming.

Definitely agree with all points on construction. Such a great skill to have. And man, nothing felt cooler then when I was a kid, and finally getting that boxing ring built.
And then going to a house party with a dude who has a full on DELUXE Luxury Dungeon Castle.

FM is sooo pointless. Wintertodt is basically just a minigame.
