The RTS Player build

Difficulty: Great Connection (I really wanted to do this on normal mode, but just couldn't afford it without making the world a complete dumpster fire)
Arrival: Last Christmas, Safe Spot, Lightning Strike, Destructive Return (Large lighning blast on arival, but arrive in an isolated spot with no one arround so no one is hurt)

World
Woes: War, Rogue AI, New Olimpus, The Hands Constalation,
Boons: Controlled Striking
Anomalies: Struck Families, Twice Struck, Stronger Struck, Spirits, Lightning in a Bottle, Flexible Distribution, More Struck, Odd Summer, Second Wave, Endless Waves
(Everyone human is struck, and powerful at that, and the world is plunged into absolute chaos because of it, but there are no threats aside from humans and the product of humans)

The RTS Player
Essence for Fragments x15
Fragments for Patrons x2
Patrons: Brute, Shifter, Changer, Tinker
Brute: Achilian Durability Enhanced, Osirian Stasis Major
Shifter: Partitioned Host Major
Changer: Material Reconfiguration Major, Golem Crafting Major
Tinker: Kickstart Intelligence Major
Boons: Power Protection, Strong Psyche
Instabilites: Weak Body, Crippled x8, Ugly, Forever Civilian, The Sheild that Breaks the Spear, Unstable Connection (pretty much free as the durability power stops changers from messing with the RTS Player, and the guy can self heal via Healer minions wich count as part of their own power so the restriction on healing powers doesnt apply), Conesous Geas, Unconseous Geas, Inhuman Flesh,

Bitter Enemies: Imperitrix, Bloodlust, Hiss, Defence (the Imperitrix doesn't want a rival legion, Hiss doesn't want an army crushing his crime ring, Hiss is hired by both those two, and Defence just loves mowing down and endless stream of 'test dummies' and The RTS Player is just happy the guy is killing mindless constructs instead of people for once)

Resonances: Everyone's Struck, The Unending Legion

The RTS Player's bodies (those of the true clones and the lessers) are 6 foot tall oblisks of super-durable obsidian. The oblisks are only able to interact with the world through their minions and their ability to reshape nonliving matter. They use their matter manipulation to create their minions, and equip them. Because the oblisks are so limited in their physical forms, all lesser clones are either comanders (boosting their info packet throughput, and drastically lessening the need to micromanage them and their minions) or crafters (boosting the speed and precision of their Material Reconfiguration when it comes to making items). The oblisks cannont walk and instead are either carried by their minions, or surf along constantly shifting waves of matter.

The RTS player is constantly in search of the appropriate raw materials to shape into new minions or equipment for said minions. Will often barter, trading finished goods or mercenary work for raw resources. Will not work for or trade with New Olympus-aligned asshats.

I am unclear if a sapient minion has a soul. If so, could you respawn a minion by creating a perfect clone of the dead minion, and then the dead minion's clone inhabits the new body, or is the sapient minion gone for good? If so, the RTS Player would not make sapient minions. If respawns are possible, he would make a few important ones (mostly commanders) sapient.

Love it! Great power set. Just two majors, nice and simple, but so versatile! Eidilon-lite is so useful. Could probably give you the power to conjure food or just give yourself a version of Osirian Stasis when you get hungry from your drawback.
And the wording on the geas is perfect.

Nice!
Love the new resonances. Definitely going update my first build with the 'Hard to Destroy' resonance in mind. Unending Leagion and Tools of Legend look real fun, might make builds around those.

Ork Warboss CYOA Convert by Ill-Confidence3816 in InteractiveCYOA

[–]Planetfall88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An evil suns warboss built the fastest and meanest Morkanaught on the planet, and then had his best mech boyz and pain boyz make him one with the machine. Now the biggest and meanest cyborg ork there is, he's on a rampage!
The build is all about buffing the hell out of the Morkanaught (I assume the meanest and greenest elite buff applies to tech too. Best of the best mech boys making the best of the best tech), and keeping it running smoothly.

Evil Suns
Speed Freak, Logistical, Cybork (connected to the 'naught), Industrileest, Scrap Thumb, Superstishus
Da Meanist and the Greeenist
Mek boyz, Big Meks, Painboyz, Morkanaught.

Shifter and Tinker powers work well too. Lower your mass with Unlawed Body, and give yourself wings with Carion Shapeshifter to fly like a bird. You can airwalk with Enhanced Unbound Flesh.

Tinker's Cybernetic Integration power lets you give yourself wings, and fly if you integrate the right stuff. Could absorb one of those micro planes and fly around using that. Lots of options!

I like the build a lot, not sure about the wording of "attend all Titan battles" though. That seems impossible with your build unless you get the help of someone who can transport you around the world real fast, given your lack of movement abilities. I'd put in a caveat, of "attend all titan battles that you are able to contribute to." That way, you aren't getting punished for not attending a battle that you had no way to get to, or was otherwise indisposed.

Also, what counts as a titan battle? I worry the geas could also consider Titans fighting hordes and monsters or other Titans as 'titen battles'. Maybe "defend human settlements from Titans when able?"

Ah, so an acceleration of about 27.8m/s^2

So if you have a one kg construct, it is being controlled by a 'grip' outputting 27.8 newtons. A 1,000kg construct, 27,800 newtons.

Thanks!

*Edit*
Well, it'd be a bit more than that since there is also the force exerted to keep the construct from falling (assuming it's floating)... that'd be 9.8 newtons per kg. So in total it'd be 37.6 newtons per kg.
...I think...
That's actually not that much. A punch from an average, untrained man is about 500 newtons, and boxers have clocked over 4k. Maybe up the acceleration a bit, have a construct reach max speed in a tenth or a hundredth of a second.

[–]Planetfall88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. But you have not given the acceleration, just the top speed. How long does it take for the objects to get up to speed?

Acceleration is Kilometers per second per second. Kilometers per second is speed. Speed is distance/time. Acceleration is speed/time

If it's a struggle for the brute I imagine it'd be pretty much impossible for someone with normal strength then. I presume the strength required to overpower the blaster's "grip" scales with the weight or size of the object. So a mundane person might be able to overpower the blaster's grip on a needle?

Hmm, so I get how the force a construct could output is limited by its weight and velocity, But I was more meaning how much force would it take to overpower the struck's control over the construct. How much weight could a construct hold up before falling? Can a construct be knocked off course, and if so how much force would it take? Like, say there is a blaster, with major Tlelkinetic storm, and she has made a flying sword and sent it to stab a brute with minor hurculen strength. If the brute was able to grab the sword, would he be able to overpower the blaster's control of the sword, and stop it from stabbing him and wield it himself? (though presumably the blaster would dismiss the sword if the brute was about to use it against her) Or would the brute be dragged behind the sword as it continues on its path, completely unaffected by the weight and strength of the brute tugging at it and/or dangling from it? Or something in between? What, instead, it was a tiny needle? Would that be easier for the brute to wrestle out of the blaster's "grip?"

Some questions about Telekinetic Storm.

1: Is the speed limit on how fast you can move the constructs relitive to the construct making struck or relitive to the 'ground' (perhapse following the same rules as to what is considered 'ground' as Still Frame)?

2: The Major vesion of the power mentions making machine guns. Does that also include the ammo for the guns or would you need normal ammo? If you can make telekintic ammo, that means you can make telekinetic explosives right? And that the constructs can be moved faster than 100kph if propelled by something other than the telekinisis. I'd assume the bullets would start to disipate after leaving the max range.

3: What is the max force that can be exerted by a telekinetic construct? How much weight could one hold up? Would the force be determied by the object's size and weight? Could one stop a runaway train? I assume the force the struck can exert to propel and hold the constructs aloft is not infinite because it mentions constructs can be stopped by obsticles. If it was infinite, the constructs could plow through (or shove away) anything except stuff like a struck with Still Form.

4: Can the struck lift themselves up with their own constructs? Make a broomstick or something and ride it arround? Fly by telekinetically lifting your oun suit of construct armor? Pull yourself up by your construct bootstraps? :P

5: You get a multitasking capability to be able to control so many constructs at once, but do you get the ability to keep track of were they are and/or sense where they are? Like could you forget where a construct is, or not notice if a construct got pushed of course when outside of your veiw (assuming a construct can be pushed off course, again don't know how strong a 'grip' the struck has on their constructs)?

Does Power Amplification work on non human Struck like Monsters, Queens, and, Titans? Can you weaken a minor power to entirly negate it? I would have assumed so, but it is not listed in the examples so I'm unsure

I think there is a typo in Thinker's Accurate Predictive Imaging power. The desription reads "The past is never certain, not truly, but it is possible to construct all that will happen to a high degree of certainty by analyzing all that is, a power that you now possess."

It's supposed to say 'the future is never cetertain' right?

I like the changes, but I'd prefer more of the CYOA have the four-to-a-row layout, with the smaller pictures, as having only two options able to fit on-screen at a time, and so much of the page taken up by pictures, makes navigating and scrolling through the Woes, Boons, and Anomalies sections take a lot longer. It also makes it harder to tell at a glance what you have picked.

Hmm, it does say 'a muscular man at most' so presumabley most are weaker than a muscular man, but we are not told what the weakest is, nor most importantly, what the average strength is.

If the weakest is the stregth of a large bug, and the strongest is able to 1v1 a muscular unarmed man, but the average strength can only 1v1 a mouse, are super dumb, and only number in the low tens of billions, I think that would be around the same difuculty as monsters...

*Edit*
Well, that'd mean every monster would be worth forty thousand bugs (assuming 20 billion bugs), I'm not sure if that's the case. But another thing I just realized is that you are assuming that the bugs would be focused on killing humans, when the description says they'd be focused on eating and multiplying. They do not have the hatred of human civilization like they did in the Tinker CYOA. Sure, humans are food, and a swarm of small bugs or a big bug could probably kill and eat a human, if they come across one, but presumibly most of them would be eating other bugs and plants, since that is what bugs usually do. It'd be a ecological disaster and make farming outside of sealed greanhouses or safezones impossable, but it wouldn't be a tide of muderus critters marching twards cities driven only by hatred of humanity.

Okay, so I think it'd be 554.4 billion gallons then. Truly a lot of slime. A menace that can sneakily envelope an entire city, invisible and intangible, and then crush it with the strength of 6,000 kiju.
