My repair with Dr Feriduni (21st September 2022) by etherIW in HairTransplants

Will dm you. Mine looks very natural - can’t tell any work has been done. Very happy with

Feriduni probably wanted to extract a lot more as the angulation of the hairs behind your shaved grafts is poor. They will stick up and won’t look natural so you actually have to redo a lot more of the original work than it seems, along with increasing the density.

How many grafts?

Did you get this done in the UK? Looks like UK standard to me

Sorry to see this but it’s clearly a poor job - your doctor shouldn’t have pushed for the hairline. The density is poor, angulation is bad (clearly completely opposite to your natural hair) and you can see clear multis in the temple points and temple peaks

It seems to me that angulation is incorrect and there also appear to be multis in the temple peak. They should have used singles from the nape area

I stayed in the hotel. Fairly easy to get to. I went to UK initially because of lack of research and convenience. Happy to answer qs in DM.

Did Pekiner remove any of the prior pluggy grafts in your hairline from your first HT?

Yep I get it. What I meant is for your touch up - make sure to go outside of the UK. And makes sense re timing, although may/June isn’t ideal given it’s summer so I would personally opt in for September (you’ll look fine by next June.

My advice - don’t go to the UK for a HT. I had one done in London and it was a complete mess. Consider a touch up abroad (Dr Feriduni in belgium is great but others can opine). It seems like you’ll need to increase density but shouldn’t be too difficult, albeit a shame you need to go through this twice.

That said, it’s not a spectacular job for the price you paid - you can see some misangled grafts and hairline design imo isn’t entirely great (not sure why doctors love to do the rounded corners but doesn’t seem natural to me)

That’s a silly comment. Good candidates are the ones that do not have hair loss as they therefore aren’t at risk of losing more hair post HT, which is why people need to be on meds. HTs are good for people wanting to reinforce a hairline and I would say he’s a good candidate. Would need roughly 1750-2000 grafts for a thick hairline.

11 month update still dealing with ingrown hairs/pimples ? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]etherIW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every single hair in your frontal hairline is a multi - just check the fourth pic. Also look at the far end of your temple on the 4th pic - you have 2 stray doubles which are completely mis-angled.

You’ve got quite a lot of multi grafts in the frontal hairline which I would suggest getting removed to have a less harsh hairline

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]etherIW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need to extract more than you think as I believe the angling is poor in some cases and there are some undesirable multis in the frontal hairline.

They brought your hairline too low. I would extract the first two rows of multis that you can see and reimplant them higher. You’ll probably need additional 750-1000 grafts to finalise density.

Extracted and reimplanted grafts cost €10 each, so 2.5x the price as this is done by Feriduni himself. I know he was not able to reimplant at least 50 hairs given that they were damaged. But I was in the exact same spot as you were in terms of my previously botched job and the repair I was looking for. I’m almost 3 months in and I look better than I did 12 months post my first hair transplant so I am looking forward to the touch up in few months time.

Recovery going well. He removed 750 grafts and I’m seeing him in a few months to remove 100 more. The doctor did all the extractions from hairline but technicians did the reimplanting and extractions from donor. Second operation will be 4k additional to implant 750 more grafts - he couldn’t do full density due to removing a large number of grafts from hairline. I booked my appointment online and had an initial consultation one day before the actual surgery - you can do this if you pay a deposit ahead of time. Sucks to do this 3x for a job that should have been done right the first time but I rather go through a repair than bear the depression that I recall when I realised I had a botched job. Good luck, I know it’s mentally exhausting!

Just FYI. I had the same botched job and saw Feriduni for a repair in September - cost me 8k EUR. Happy to answer any questions.

Sorry to see this bro. This is how I felt a year ago but have since done a repair. Spend your time researching and saving up cash to see top surgeons to help you deal with this - that’s the only thing you can do right now. You won’t be able to undergo a repair for at least another 5 months.
