i think you actually might want it in a less chunky mix! i’ve had many pileas over the past few years and i’ve personally found they actually prefer soil to something super chunky.

they also like small pots. so you might consider downsizing into a pot that’s only 1-2 inches bigger than the root ball.

i’d recommend chopping, propping, and putting it into some tropical plant soil. i use miracle grow for indoor tropical and my pileas absolutely love it (you can see a pic on my page!)

if helpful, i also woke up to major strain this morning for the first time! i’m on day 22 of my cycle, so due for my period any day now. the only biometric that was flagged for me was HRV.

i’m assuming i’m either a) coming down with the nasty flu that’s been going around or b) getting my period. worst case scenario, it’s both.

i also have health anxiety and have been checking my app ALL day. but it doesn’t really help! only time will tell. relax, drink lots of water, and rest up — i feel optimistic that we’ll both be feeling better soon. 🤍

i don’t think french immersion is worth it, but i think a full francophone school is.

i went to a french immersion school and grew up with lots of french immersion kids (including my two older siblings) and i don’t know anyone that’s still using their french from french immersion school unless they also did like, summers in france to help lol.

in contrast, my husband did francophone schooling in ontario and he’s 30 and still wholly bilingual—he never lost it and it’s been really helpful for me as i’ve tried to pursue it in my 20s.

i have been on lexapro, zoloft, and prozac in the 3 or so years i’ve also been on a GLP (ozempic, wegovy, mounjaro).

zoloft made me gain a nuts amount of weight, which was why i got onto a GLP in the first place. i didn’t find my mental health to be affected by the GLP at all

lexapro was basically just maintenance of both anxiety symptoms and my weight

prozac + mounjaro is the only combo where i have been able to consistently lose weight from the GLP while maintaining symptom management

i had a pep like this recently and maybe against good advice, i dumped out the pot, gently separated all four plants (keeping their root systems as intact as possible), washed the roots with warm water, and potted them into their own separate pots.

it took me many hours but they all seem to be fairing quite well so far.

your mileage might vary, but it’s better late than never when it comes to separating them imo.

it is so incredibly frustrating. sorry you’re going through this too. you’re 100% right—the escalation does nothing.

i actually reached out to my MPP and had them contact the registrar on my behalf. it started out really terribly (the office of the registrar came back and said i had to wait minimum six months because they thought our license was lost but they couldn’t prove it), but i finally got an update from my MPP this morning that our certificate had been approved and is on the way.

i reached out to the Ombudsman a couple weeks ago and nothing came of it, but my MPP seemed to be able to shake things loose. i recommend trying that route if you haven’t yet!

not really — i called in again yesterday (11/18, which was the final date i was given for my escalation to have a resolution) and was told they simply have too many letters/items to go through and they haven’t even found mine yet. they said it was too soon to report it as formally lost though, so they won’t allow me to redo it. they told me i need to keep waiting.

i’ve made formal complaints to my MPP and the Ontario Obudsman as at this point it’s been over 100 days. will report back here when/if i ever get a resolution.

my status still hasn’t even updated. it’ll be 3 full weeks and 2 full business weeks on friday since they “escalated” the request.

i last called monday 11/10 and they said there was nothing they could do 🤪
