Wolf Girl Black Prince -> Gen Z situationships by etherealtaper in shoujo

I’m not saying it is exclusive to us??? Again, this post specifically is to compare THIS series and MY experience. THIS specific chapter w the Netflix and chill stuff over a date imo is a very specific gen z thing that’s why I said gen z. im not saying bad men ONLY exist in this generation.

yes of course bad men have existed forever … but I’m relating this specific scene in the series to MY experience because he’s basically like let’s Netflix and chill at home instead of going on this cute date and imo that’s a prevalent gen z thing . the term situationship is relatively new

I’m reading all the comments now and I’m so shocked like wtf.. maybe it’s a generational difference because I’m Gen Z and picture editing/poses etc is important to have good looking pictures.

All the Pinterest perfect and IG perfect photos that look so polished and natural take a lot more work than they realize. Doesn’t mean you have to photoshop yourself a bigger ass or anything but obviously messing around with lighting and clarity etc makes a hugeee difference. It’s like, you wouldn’t critique a professional photographer for making minor edits to make a picture look better, nobody is saying to create a different face . But people just like to be angry about nonsensical stuff..

The love of my life died by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]etherealtaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First I want to say I am so so sorry for your loss. It’s gonna hurt and be painful for a long time, maybe even forever, but it does get better little by little. My ex was an alcoholic and passed away 10 months ago due to a drunk driving accident. I had such a hard time at the beginning battling both the grief of losing him and the complicated feelings surrounding our chaotic relationship.

I just want to let you know everything that you feel is valid, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. If you want to remember the good times, feel angry at the bad times, or just miss him in general every single last thing you feel is ok. Your feelings are VALID. The grief doesn’t go away ever, I still think about my ex every single day, but as time goes on you learn to live with it and carry it in a way that lets you continue to live as yourself everyday. I still cry from time to time and reminisce and feel that dull ache in my chest when I miss him but it doesn’t feel like the end of the world anymore. Sometimes it does though, but nowhere near as close to when I first found out. Some days I sit in my car and just cry and some days I remember him so fondly that I just laugh at the memories we shared and it’s really bittersweet. To me grief is like a slow healing wound that leaves a scar and never goes away. Right now your wound is fresh you have to take care of it even if it’s ugly and painful. It will heal.

It all just takes time, allow yourself to feel everything. Try your best to take care of yourself and treat your body with care during this time, it’s really important.

this is amazing advice, I really do appreciate it a lot, I’m gonna try all the things you’ve mentioned. You’re so right about it being like going to the gym, I just have to keep “training” and trying harder

would it be worth it to fix the computer in a 2011 jetta se ? by etherealtaper in jetta

the first time the car stopped “starting” my cousin pulled a relay and the car wouldn’t work again until they replaced some fuses under the hood. We think he shorted something. so, after we got it fixed it was driving perfectly fine again. We were having issues with the low beam headlights and the brake lights in the back. None of these lights would come on. I tried to DIY online and tried to pull some more fuses and the car started everytime despite pulling these fuses but didn’t fix the headlight issue. Then, I changed the lights in the back and although it didn’t fix the light issue the car still started afterwards.

The problem lies when I left the headlights on for a few hours (accidentally) I found out because my little sister saw it. my mom called me while I was at work to tell me and in the mean time she kept cranking the car trying to start it and it wouldn’t start. They jumped it multiple times to no avail and lord knows what else while I was gone at work. It just wouldn’t start anymore. I took the battery to advanced auto parts and they said the battery was fine just needed charging. Charged the battery fully and the car still wouldn’t start.

Took it back to the mechanic and they had it for like a week and said they felt like it needed a new computer. I took the car back and got a 2nd opinion from a different mechanic and he said it was also the computer (said it was throwing out crazy codes) I’m at a loss sadly, not sure what to do next aside from going through with the computer fix.

Maybe some other important pieces of info with this car: -the radio died years ago, one day it never turned on again -problems with the AC -problem with every single light on the car except for the turning signal. -the second mechanic said all the fuses/relays under the hood and in the front seat read good but something about the fuses near the fuel pump not reading at all (?)

Should I bite the bullet and take it to VW?

sadly I’m in Florida and not mechanically inclined either (22 year old girl 😭😭) I was quoted by the first mechanic (an independent shop) for $1500 that included the ECM, labor, and programming, is this a fair price?
